Apparently the WWE recently employed a strategy to take advantage of the 'player movement phenomenon' as that's got the highest level of fan engagement in the NFL/NBA, or something like that. OK - what would propel us into contention? I dont see it. I can't see how Prestia catapults us into a finals berth let alone a shot at it. We just let Vickery go = who steps up? Griff? Proven he can't sting games together. Ruck? Hampson and Maric? Maybe Nankervis?

We have massive holes in the list and no picks of note. We've botched our recruiting and drafting for a number of years now which kills any opportunity to trade. I can't see where we are bringing in players to add to our top line talent in those areas we need it most.

The last half of the season proved it to me. Our biggest spikes came from our rookie listed players. Not our drafted talent bar Rioli. Just cant see it. Trying to but cant.

Do the exercise of going nuclear, then you see holes.

Trade out lids, cotchin, and jack for three first rounds. Trade sheds, Ellis, and co for whatever we can get.

Delist everyone from houli to grigg and beyond, and you're left with about 12 kids of some ability, some older and some rookies, and then the draft. Draft 20-24 in a year, and we are making the efc top ups look good

What the does prove is the period is too long. Most of the big trades are a game of bluff with only one hand to play. Exactly what happened last year with yarran.

Don't think that's bad at all, obviously the Top 8 names are outstanding but definitely valuable players in the 20-30 mark.

If you think we will truly be worse, we should not even be looking at Prestia. We should be looking long term and going solely to the draft.

I'm not sure I said that. I think we can be much more aggressive in a re-build/re-generate or whatever you want to call it. I find it fascinating a player like Jack Steele wants to go the saints. They played in a premiership you know. Going straight past us. The ****ing saints.

May be the right move now.
Back ourself in to do better than this year. If we finish top 8 then it's a fair pick for Prestia.
Buuuut it could backfire hard if we flop again.
