Apologies
Nah meant we all went back and looked at the players referred to and thankfully discovered they weren't absolute S%^$ trucks.

ie - Battle (too short, can't turn, can't jump, can't run very far, can't run very fast)

From Tomorrows Heroes - Draft Prospects
Battle also possesses elite endurance, evidenced by his efforts at the NAB AFL Draft Combine, where he ran the 3km time trial in 10.07 minutes and reached level 13.7 in the beep test.

His aerobic capacity allows him to slip away from opponents and stay involved in the play throughout games, which sets him apart from other tall prospects in this year's draft.

Battle covers the ground exceptionally well for a tall marking option and is in his element when hitting up on the lead at the ball carrier, in a similar way to Hawthorn's Jack Gunston.

Like Gunston, Battle is generally an accurate converter in front of goal – with a 69 per cent goal scoring accuracy mark during the championships. He's nimble and can kick long-range goals.

Gee he sounds ok ;)

I suspect neck beard ran our pre season training program. Came out all guns blazing only to die in the arse at half time. 7 touches all up, not bad for a late rookie selection I guess. Done some okay things & has the potential to be a Troy Swarze role-player. If he stays on an AFL list for 3 years he's exceeded expectations.

If I had to choose between Carlisle, Gresham and Francis, Francis would be last by a mile.

You are the only one that is dribbling. How about you read my post in its entirety and then respond.:thumbsdown:
You've been trying to get rid of Nick Riewoldt from the Saints list for a decade. Don't worry, Helen, you'll get your wish eventually.

I hate to say this but we should look at Geelong and learn from them. In 2015 they finished tenth with 11 wins and one draw (ironically against us). For all intents and purposes they looked cooked and on the decline to the bottom 4. Why all of a sudden did they finish top 4 in 2016 and are now undefeated with 5 straight wins in 2017? I'll tell you why, it is because their coach is a hard arsed campaigner who is not afraid to make unpopular decisions.

He "retired" many club champions 1 year and in some cases 2 years before their time. I won't name them because we all know who they are. He then traded for players that specifically replaced the ones he culled. He wasn't worried about using all of his picks on trades. The list is endless.....Rhys Stanley, Zach Tuohy, Zack Smith, Aaron Black, Lachie Henderson and last but not least, Patrick Dangerfield. Their whole club has been transformed.

Don't get me wrong, I love Richo and believe that he is great coach. He is not a hard arsed campaigner though. And that is what we need him to become if the Saints are going to win a flag under him. If Chris Scott was our coach I dare say Reiwoldt, Montagna and Gilbert would be "retired" at the end of this season. He would then move heaven and earth to grab 2 of Fyfe, Martin or Rocky as Free Agents. Then he would make sure that he successfully traded for one of Greater Western Sydney's young guns. If it meant giving them Hawthorn's first pick and our 2018 first and getting back their second pick then so be it. We would still have our own first pick to take to the draft.

Unfortunately from what I have read, Reiwoldt, Montagna and Gilbert will all be at the Saints next year and a golden opportunity will be lost. Anyway, this is just my opinion and I may be wrong but if I am wrong then I would like to ask the following question. Why are Geelong at the top and undefeated again?

Are you still writing stuff to prove your lack of footy knowledge. Mate you don't need to do it anymore. It was confirmed long ago.

You couldn't be further from the truth, it's like you are playing opposites or are just getting Battle mixed up with someone else. He is an elite endurance runner. You could say his running ability is like a young Roo.
Shifter Sheahan said he was the steal of the draft, but what would he know?

Trade for Whitfield & Himmelberg

Secure one of Rockliff/Fyfe/Martin through Free Agency

1x top 10 draft pick - classiest quick mid available

1x draft pick between 10-20 - classiest quick mid available

Upgrade Marshall

This would set us up for 15 years
Get ****ed Rors and stop being jealous of Melbourne FFS.

I think NeXus Nick might be forgetting how many players we've let go over the last 5 years. But to let go of Riewoldt would be the stupidest thing we could do. Do you know who would take him? The Cats or the Bulldogs for starters, and he may be the difference between them winning a flag.

We've had a plan since the start of 2013 and we've been pretty good at sticking to it. If we recruit well over the pre season, I can't see why we can't push for a top 4 spot. Roo and Joey's experience would be huge for us.

Gilbert I'd be happy to let go if a few younger guys start to step up.

what if I told you.. I am Shitfer Sheahan?

No that's fair. Didn't realised he followed the TAC closely. Good to know.
FWIW, in case you didn't know, Shifter Sheahan & Mike Sheahan aren't the same person...

Shifter has followed underage footy for 40 years
