So a player agent from WA who works for Empire just came to the cafe where I work and naturally, we got talking Fyfe.

He didn't give anything away but he said that any contract worth more than 900k a year must be signed off by the board, so it makes sense a board member would know of that deal, if it's true.

Second, I told him to tell Nathan that he can have free coffees at the cafe whenever I am working. And so can the agents at Empire.

I reckon it will be hard for Freo to match that offer knowing how expensive and bad the coffee in Perth is.

So just had a read of the Hawks big fish thread.
They seriously think they can land Fyfe, Martin or Rockliffe as a FA this year.

Do they not realise what absolute shit they are in?

They should not even be discussing FA but how in heavens name they can somehow get back into the draft to refresh a tired old and increasingly talentless list ( when it comes to young players)

I really dont think they have accepted where they are, which is possibly worse off than us at the start of 2012.

Their rebuild will take 6 years. But here they are talking about Fyfe and Martin.
