I have not/can not get any info on Jelly, being kept extremely close to the chest, which, imo is a very good sign.

Finally, I have it on very good authority that someone from this week's opposition will be in the RWB next season!

I was thinking about the possibility that we miss out on the players that have been talked about Fyfe, Kelly, Martin, jones etc. and what the saints will do if that happens.

I wouldn't mind taking some first round picks but if the club is determined to bring in ready made talent it will be there.

How many years are there players made available who weren't even been spoken about. Some club will fall in love with a kid in the draft or GWS will need list and or cap space and we will be there with the picks and cash to make it happen.

It would be great to get Kelly but I'm pretty comfortable that things will play out well for us.

A big question for us is who goes to make space on the list.

See bilbos post above this what I mean if you have the picks and cash something always comes up.

For the third time.

AS desperate.

We tried our asses off last year trying to land an A grade mid, and didn't get one.

If we do the same again this year (with next years FA cupboard already bare), we are looking at 3 years of trying and failing to get the kind of key player we need.

Plus next year we wont have the massive advantage of having 3 first rounders in our back pocket.

That is why we are more desperate for a big fish than the pies were for treloar.

Its not a failure to try but miss. Every club wants to target the best players it can. It would be failure if it didnt try. Were always pretty active post season compared to a lot of clubs.

Just like how Fyfe was done and everyone in the footy world knew it? Not having a crack at our ITK's as they have a solid enough hit rate but the amount of smoke screens/rumours going around at the moment means I wouldn't believe anything at this stage. With that money offered I'm still confident North will come very close to acquiring Jelly.

It was just to piss off the norfy lurkers and posters coming here.

They will no doubtly post it on their board and get in a tizz about it.

I'm not sure how you get the impression that the Pies weren't desperate for Treloar mate... they had the Tigers doing their best to usurp the deal, St Kilda were sniffing around because the deal went until the last day of trade period & he was their priority deal for that off season.

They fully believed that he would put them back into contention... I'm not too sure how more desperate you could be! (Well maybe not Hawks/JOM desperate!)
