Then why is he overseas with his teamates instead of in Bunyip with his family?
He should be overseas with his girlfriend & not the boys.
Life is quite simple really when you don't over complicate it & try & outsmart yourself.

The club will hold him to his contract unless his suitors come to the party with something way over the top & the fact he is away from his girl after a long season away from her suggests he will be fine playing out his career as a Swan.
Now having said all that, it all may be a crock of crap & Paps is more than happy to stay.

To be honest I think any move by paps would be primarily commercial.
I've said it before but Michael Agresta's move from the Swans to join Carlton as list manager is surely part of this? He made an opportunistic play for Newman (fair enough). But you'd have to think he knows we have Paps on a modest contract so has made a predatory move on a contracted player. I'd love to know what the Swans inner sanctum make of it?

Has a certain off smell to it overall.

So Jon Patton, a former No 1 pick, is going to walk to Hawthorn for a 3rd rnd pick but we are expected to cough up 2 first rounders for Joe Daniher. Both are injury prone returning from long term injury. If Joe Daniher played for Gold Coast and hadn't played for 2 years with OP what do you expect Vic clubs would pay to get him. Some absurd Vic centric commentary around these two.
This isn't a great comparison IMO. His draft was long enough ago that Patton's #1 status isn't really valid, in terms of proven form Daniher is much better than Patton.

Furthermore Patton's basically a salary dump, whereas Essendon actually want to keep Daniher.

Yeah they want to keep him so bad they haven't made him an offer and are dangling him out there while Lloyd quotes two first rounders like a live bait in the shark tank. :D

Ifthe CEO invites to his house a big forward from a rival club to pitch a future with the Swans ...
thenhe simply has to deliver now. Embarrassing if he doesn't. Daniher is on the hook, the barb about to rip through the flesh. But you need to land him.

god that bloke is such a flog.
The meeting that both parties said was a catch up of friends with no pitch. What is embarrassing is the guess work and flip flopping of so called professional journalists.

We love you but we WON'T give you a contract offer. You cant have it both ways.
