Steele at 187cm 90kg,
Hunter 187cm will be 90kg,
Bytel 189 will be 90kg,
will be a brutish inside pack that let Hanners and co off the chain.

With Roma in there too we'll have ourselves a pretty enviable group.

I agree with you! I just think looking at the free agents I doubt Whitfield or Cameron get out of GWS, Crouch seems a pretty logical option given I think we had pretty significant interest in him only last week.

I’d be 50/50 on paying him what he would want though given his injury history and his ball use but he is a good player. Couldn’t see us not getting even better with him in the side

Zac Williams would just about by my #1 target. He has a nice blend of inside and outside. 213 of his 568 possessions this year were contested. That's mostly playing half back. I reckon he could be almost a 50/50 split playing pure mid.

He's too good to be wasted across the half back line but he's got a few ahead of him in the GWS midfield.

It seems to me that the Acres trade was a salary dump, not because we would exceed the salary cap in 2019, but because we wanted to bank some salary space for another target in 2020. Hopefully a free agent, so we can use our 2020 first rounder on a kid... if we have a good year in 2019, maybe someone really good will be convinced

Ive given up on St Kilda ever landing a high end free agent, its obvious the players just want to play for the bigger supported and richer clubs. You cant blame them because it gives them a good chance of setting themselves up after football aswell. We struggle to support them during their career let alone after.

If we have the 10th pick and 5 of the top 10 are academies or f/s then we don't get the 10th best player, we get the 15th.

Plus those 5 clubs get them at a discount giving them further advantage.

Dogs might get 3 players in the top 20 all at an advantage over us.

Meanwhile our postage stamp sized academy zone might one day generate a player we can swoop on at pick 60.
