If we are no longer going for Caldwell why not split our first rounder with ports two second rounders and use them to get some other second tier players to the club like Crossley and Witherden. Really boost our depth. God I want Witherden. I think I want him more than Caldwell. Nominate us Alex!!

5 years for a guy who's missed two entire seasons with injury, has only got on the field for 53% of the available matches. Had one good season and he's cashing in. That's the impression anyway. I hope he proves otherwise.
Or alternatively

4/5 years for a player who since having his OP sorted at the end of 2018 has played 32 of 40 games averaging 27 possessions a game with the only injury being an unrelated hamstring strain.

Not sure we aren't still chasing Caldwell

Brad Crouch is a bloody good bloke, a bloody good footballer & no worse off field than 95% of our list.

The only difference between him and the rest of the competition is that he got caught.

Move on & embrace him. He’s a jet and he’s the perfect player for our midfield.

This. “Culture” at footy clubs is about not getting caught.

If we manage to get Ben Brown and Jye Caldwell we are no longer a destination club. We are THE destination club

Oh no sorry what I meant is if we don’t get him. I understand we’re still well bc and truly interested in him.

Crouch for free and Caldwell on top would be pretty bloody good.

Crouch gives us an immediate impact.

Caldwell, Clark and Bytel could he a ten year midfield.
Would be very efficient trading for needs. Sets up three areas - short term midfield, long term midfield and solves our small forward issue by probably allowing Gresham and Billings to return to the forwardline.

am i the only one who thinks Caldwell would have a better opportunity to play Round 1 than he will at the Dons or GWS?

i just think the environment and list demographic we have will suit him to a tee. stable club environment. a couple of ageing type mids he could replace in hanners and ross. but gets the time to ease his way into it like Clark.

will also get finals experience and gets to play in victoria.

Omg it would be fantastic to stop getting pissed off at Ben Brown’s ridiculous run ups. Given ratten’s last presser after the Richmond game I gave a feeling we’re after a big fish up forward.

I’m so effing excited.

With Crouch out for the first two games, there'd be another midfield spot available for Caldwell to make his claim.

Well... Have you seen a bloke called Hanneberry?
