In Brad Crouch's last 54 games he's had only had 2 games under 20 disposals and they were both this year. If that doesn't excite you, I'm not sure who will.

goddards own words after being questioned why he refers to essendon as"we"

he follows saints in finals with no essendon, but when they play each other he is essendon due to having more contacts among the playing group, when those bombers are gone like his saints team mates are gone,he could go either club

Somebody who averages more than 12 games per year?

If he could get on the park, I'd be over the moon and would have been happy with us making an offer which would have triggered band 1 compo and he'd already have been snapped in his saints polo for the press.

Hell, if past performance were a reliable indicator of future performance, it's like he won't play 54 games during the contract we have offered him.

I still believe he is worth targeting as he seems to be gettable for a price that is reasonable once taking my concerns into account. We start getting nervouse when trades become involved.

The problem with no compensation is that bottom of the ladder sides are likely to stay bottom for years as top teams plunder them for top talent. Imagine losing Lynch from the bottom side with no compensation. It would turn it into a really boring stagnant ladder where teams at the top stay there for decades while the lesser sides stagnate.

It would eventually kill the league. They should actually make it so the benefitting club has to pay the existing club something perhaps like FS or academy pick ups, a value based on a percentage discount of the players actual value determined by the AFL. At the moment all other sides are punished to give the incoming club a leg up. Maybe have a 30% cap rebate on their wage as well or something to incentivise taking the FA.

8 years with one player is long enough to build a successful culture and winning side it’s plenty of time to convince a player to stay ..

We aren’t talking 4 years .. if you think someone’s gunna walk free agency trade them a year before that ... happens all the time in the nba

Don’t like him at all. Looks to have an IQ of approximately 9 and seems selfish af. ‘It’s been a tough year for me’ year no shit mate maybe don’t get caught with drugs. The rest of the AFL players seem to manage fairly easily.

Also not that good and injury prone. Steer clear imo.

Media starting to say Crows will not match

Which makes sense

If Crows match this will go to the PSD or they will get a pick that's not our first rounder.

This is the same media that less than a day ago were stating as fact that were were offerring brad 750-800k ... so- grain of salt.

Not sure which error to point out first in that one Bill.

But they’ve been pointed out to you numerous times previously & you still regurgitate them regularly.

Is that it? You are so wrong I don't even have the brain capacity to construct an argument😂

Why bother commenting at all🤷‍♂️

The rest of the players may not have managed easily. He got caught. How many others didn’t get caught?
It was a tough year and even tougher for the players who lived under restrictions much much more stringent than the rest of the country.
He’s best 22 and makes our team much better and stronger around the ball. We’d be mad not to go for him, especially since he’ll effectively be for free.

We need to start changing the way we manage our lists and see a season.

could almost split the season in 2, use younger kids to win 7of the first 10, then more experienced and older guys to play the last 10-15 games including finals.
So guns only need to play from round 12-13 and play their 14-15 games.

Also the idea of contracting players for only 10-12 games a year isn’t a bad one either.

We want him to kick a football, not represent us at the United Nations.

At 600k x 4 and zero or minimal trade cost (pick 15 with a huge swag of cap relief etc back our way)- he's fine.

Apart from 2018 with his groin, he's only missed a handful of games since 2017. His injury woes are overstated. Had it not be a compressed fixture this year, I highly doubt he misses 5 games with his hamstring problem.

He's good but there is a reason he's not a superstar despite his numbers. I rate him but he's more Seb Ross, Rockliff etc than Danger or Cotchin. We don't have anyone like him so he'll suit us as a better version of Dunstan.

They both are a bit to be honest but I've always rated Matt the better of the two. He just seems a bit more dynamic. Both are pretty similar though, Matt wins his own ball a bit more but also gets played around the ball a lot more probably.

I think you’ve got them back to front.

Brad was always the more dynamic of the two... hence he went pick 2 in the mini draft & Matt went in the 20’s somewhere.

Matt’s a better version of Dunstan where Brad is more like Steeley when he’s fit & firing.

Brad Crouch is a good person who made a mistake. Anyone who has met him will vouch for that. Well off the mark here.
