Really? That's ummmm ... really? Are you actually being serious?

I guess I will have to stop saying Dodoro is the only person in Australia that thinks that Essendon don't have a bottom 4 list
You must be loving it EA.

People have such short memories.
Just a couple of weeks ago their culture was rooted and good players are getting out any which way, then they take on a huge spud on big money who can't get a game at GC, a fringe HB from Stkilda and a 3rd year smallish mid on massive overs.
Then they bail on Dunkley, putting off any potentials they might have got next year.

What an absolute train wreck :tearsofjoy:

It's only the media saturation on Treloar that saved Essingten, but even the Pies actually did better in trade period since they fulfilled their objectives and will be competitive next season, unlike Essingten.

It's glorious, and it will go for years and years and years. :D

Call me stupid but if we ever win a premiership or more, I hope they make a movie about Simon Lethlean.

Think about it, the story would be about a man who is on top of the world being the operations manager of the AFL and is given the axe because of certain allegations.

His comeback story would be joining a football club with a long-standing history of being the biggest basket case in the league with the least amount of success.

Similar to Moneyball, the plot would surround Satan hiring all the right people to turn the football club around. With the hirings of Ratten, Gallagher, Rath, Allan, Roughead, and the additions of the trades, the movie could show the shift of the football club while also diving into Satan’s personal life.

The end of the movie would be about how he’s taken this club to a flag/turned it into a dynasty and is glorified for his achievements. The AFL are seen as mugs for sacking him, and Satan looks at them with the premiership cup and gives them the middle finger.

I don’t know what the movie would be called but I’d hope it’d be something like ‘Satan’s Saints’.

Moneyball or mighty ducks???? The hiring of Bombay was a master stroke. Dan Hannebery is our Fulton 😉😉😉

I don't think that's that crazy. Essendon and GWS will actually get an easy fixture with double ups against soft sides. GWS nearly played finals with Cameron playing a role that was hardly even worth a spot. They lose Caldwell but he was like us not having Bytel next year. Hately like not having Byrnes.

Essendon lose 2 players who have hardly played for 2 years and Saad who is overrated and with Hind in should be able to swap some speed straight back in. Peter Wright should offer something they don't have even if he is shit. Their list is still solid enough to finish 8th to 15th sort of range.

Word is that clubs may only need to take 1 pick in the National draft, so that’ll save us from cutting more players when list sizes are announced.

yes, that was mentioned last week.

Nah. There were alot of questions i really should have asked in hindsight haha. Ill ask next time I see them
YOu will be our ITK and must see your family more often. any news about other teams?

I hope we get to play them both twice. 16 points in the bank before the ball is even bounced.

"Dream" double ups (1/2/2 split) -
Richmond
GWS
Collingwood
Essendon
Adelaide

"Fair" double ups (1/3/1 split)
Geelong
Melbourne
Carlton
Fremantle
Sydney

"St Kilda Special" double ups (2/2/1 split)
Port Adelaide
West Coast
Bulldogs
Fremantle
Gold Coast

We finished in the top 6 so I'm pretty sure we have to get at least 2 double ups from the top group.

If KR was a real mate to us here on BF he would have a sex change and date the player management fella himself.

Would certainly reduce delays in getting the good info 👍🏻 #takeonefortheteam

"The AFL uses a ‘weighted rule’ to determine who plays each other twice.

A team that finished on the bottom six in 2019 must not play a team who finished in the top six more than once in 2020.

Teams in the top six, middle six and bottom six can play against fellow teams in their matching bracket up to three times in 2020.

A middle six team can play against a top six team no more than twice, and the same rule applies with a middle six team playing against a bottom six team."

So yep, we will be playing 2 other top 6 teams then.

I'd like Port, just so we get to play them in Vic. Richmond would be a big ticket game as well so I won't be shocked to see the AFL run that back.

Haha im far from an ITK, he will probably on tell me stuff that's basically news anyway 🤣🤣
He did say that Cameron was only ever going to Geelong, every other team knew it too. If he hadve gone to PSD no one wouldve taken him as he would have retired instead. Quiet lifestyle in Geelong where he can just head out fishing when he wants.

Not sure if it’s Lethers, Finnis or if it’s a group decision on the hiring of staff, but it’s great that we now have so many successful people at the club. Another one that could be added to the above list is Billy Slater, I see he is still on the coaches page on the Saints web site, so hopefully he is back with us at RSEA next year.

So he’d throw away millions of dollars so he can do some fishing.

Had to do with mental health apparently. Already has squilions in property development so money wasn't an issue. It was more getting him to Geelong and not Melbourne city in general

He fully believes he is entitled to do what he wants after spending the time he did at GWS. Its more about looking after himself than looking after anyone else.
Don't be surprised if you see alot more players going to Geelong with these reasons in the future. They can offer anonymity as far as Victorian clubs go

You can catch some pretty big carp in some of the ponds not too far from the club, I hope Jeremy this told him this
