look you have been absolutely relentless about this for days….all the walk to the PD’s crap
Haven’t you noticed No clubs do that
Yes there is a threat but no one actually does it, they trade

we have got an actual fed/ruck who looks quite likely. Not an effing future possible maybe Pick
This guy will slot straight in
Just Settle Down ffs

This is what we have been telling you guys. Clubs like to do fair deals to main relationships. Long term it's worth it over trying to burn a club.

The walk him to the PSD stuff we kept hearing was pretty unrealistic. CCJ is going to be a good player and would be snapped up by the mid 20's in this draft IMO

This sh*t is hilarious. My alpacas react in a more measured way when seeing a dog than you lot do to a trade.
I still love you all, so be careful not to run into walls in your panic.

Nice alpaca flex, Lomas.

The most concerning thing with this is our inability to use leverage.

If you cannot use it. Then why are you in that position?

Would Dodoro or Mahoney allow that to happen?
Exactly. But there are certain types on here ye that if Half Tonne Mom sat on their face and farted they would be all for it. Easily Pleased. :stern look

I think some poeple on here need to take a step back. We were losing Taz no matter what. We gained 3 picks and a young player for 2 picks, and yes, one was a second round pick. Could be the club thought they would have to use the second rounder no mini-Harvey, so we would have to use it anyway. Even so, we get CCj and still have the first pick in the PSD. Perhaps the club rate someone there at the same or higher level than the 2nd rounder next year? A lot to play out here. I'm keeping my powder dry.

I think if we were 4 or 5 spots higher it would be seen as fair enough, it just doesn't seem that we got any real value out of the ability to leverage the PSD option.

Given our most favourable option would have been CCJ via PSD resulting in him costing nothing and Tarrant via Free Agency, I believe it would have got a 3rd round compo, similar to Smith last year to Geelong, given Richmond offered Tarrant 2 years on more money than we had offered him.

So losing Tarrant and CCJ (potentially for free) and our future second, the deal seem on face value to be poor.

People got on my back when I said I had low confidence in our ability to pull off a decent deal and that the perception from the outside looking in is that we are trade Bunnies, all people have to do is hold out to get a better deal. It doesn't mean we make horrible deals, it just means we do not usually make great deals and are easily pressured into giving up more than others would in our position.

Ie, look at how Crows got Hately last year when they were in our spot. They pretty much stopped picking up the phone once their fair offer (in their opinion) was knocked back.

Shit deal

Rich get Taz, retain Chol compo, expected pick 22ish next year and 40

We get CCJ, equiv 27 and expected pick 66ish next year.

From all the hand to fleeced.

I look forward to seeing the club video....."I cant believe he was still there at pick 42 & 47"

Pulling a positive these picks should improve with father son bidding 42 will be in the 30s & with the lack of games played their should be some real unproven talent in these positions.

Suspect we'd be targeting either St Kilda's pick 9 or future picks in the Xerri trade, in return for getting them points this year.

Lol at the sooking on here
How?

Hmm, feels incompetent to me.

How do we interpret FactnotFiction's cryptic cunnington picture now? Bad mail? He seems to be very accurate in the past? Change in approach since?

either way, we got shafted. This club never ceases to amaze me with this shit.

We must have wanted to keep that 1st pick in the PSD - maybe we have somebody in mind?
That's how I read it as well.

I'm intrigued to know who it could be.

Stengle hopefully.

Done deal
North Ccj, pick 42 & 47 and a future 4th round pick.

Richmond : Tarrant pick 40 and a future 2nd round pick

not that keen on giving up a future second round pick
