If the Hawks are having a fire sale, maybe we buy big boy back on the cheap. Been playing CHB a bit the last few years I think, and obviously still goes alright in the ruck. Could be a nice little piece of insurance for two years.

The Hawks are looking to trade Ceglar so I would be very surprised if they were prepared to trade McEvoy as well.

I doubt he would want to be a back up to Marshall and Ryder anyway.

Brad crouch on 600k in the VFL every week is not where we want to be.

We chose our 'hack it forward' ballpig already.

Top 8 teams/ genuine flag contenders don't have multiple 'hack it forward' ballpigs in their starting midfield.

They have 1, who is in charge of hacking it forward and shovelling out to teammates.
(Teammates who have much better skills than they do.)

For a team which has deplorable skills in its midfield- tom mitchell is exactly what we don't need.

He's a fine player, but a horrible fit for our starting midfield when we are already carrying crouch, jones and gresh.

The Brodie deal reaffirmed just how terrible they are at the trade table. Maybe we should've enquired about Ben, they could've given us pick 19 into the bargain
