Doesn’t rate draft and loading up for Harley reid

nothing surer just the player we need and we know it will take a god father offer

and trying to get ammo for next year

2 potentially early 2nd rounders could get you into the early teens this year, if say a Phillipou slipped...

I think it would be more like a pick swap with extras with Carlton if he is still there when
carltons first comes up..

Something like..

Our 2023 1st and our 2023 2nd

For

Their 2022 1st and 2023 1st

Carlton would have to be thinking they are contending/finals next year and the crows still bottom 8…

They might be tempted.

Id be happy with that.. get phillipou… and still have a first rounder next year.

Then in 2023 use the carlton 2023 1st we get and add it to our 2024 1st to move up the draft.. try get in the top 10.. get another good looking midfielder.

We need to get a gun midfield prospect like phillipou in this year..

197 points discount after round 1 + Pick 46 (331 points) + Pick 56 (194 points) + Pick 59 (158 points) = 880 points.

At this stage we will be able to full cover a Michalanney pick anywhere from Pick 21 onwards.

Is Ahscroft the only F/S set to go in the 1st round?

It’s likely these will come into picks 44, 54 and 57 once the Brisbane picks in the 30s are swallowed up matching Ashcroft.

Would then be 197 + 362 + 220 + 182, enough to match pick 19. Cannot see Max going that early.

It’s a pretty smart trade as norths 2nd rounder next year is worth more than 23 this year

Don’t rule out trading 2x future 2nd rounders to get back in to 1st round this year if a player we like is there

Glad it appears we not into Barnett as I don’t think he’s anything special that deserves an early pick as a ruck

Nah it’s a slow build with patience … better off getting quality over quantity

Would still have a crack at Phillipou if he makes it past pick 10

Glad we don’t look like taking Barnett who is nothing special

I don’t know. IMO we just improved one of our picks from a trading point of view.
