How many rucks and how many key backs in that list?

Are you suggesting by posing that question we don’t need developing rucks and KPDs?
No. I think one of either of those would be good. Was literally wondering if we had too many last year. Was remembering Worrell, McAsey, Borlase, Frampton in the same SANFL backline

I actually really like our picks, so this isn't a criticism of the actual selections. I'm just getting a bit concerned about how adverse we are to taking developing talls. There were about 7 draftable SA kids around the 2m mark this year, which is pretty unheard of. One was even from our NGA. It's not like we don't have success with those types late or in the Rookie draft - Butts and ROB for example.
if youre taller than nicks, or adam kelly YOU ARE NOT in the squad 🤣

Dowling might look a decent pick down the track , very prolific mid ( one of most prolific in the draft ) if not a great kick ( this might improve in system ?)

Michaelanny and Rankine is a tick

Bond with future 3rd , not entirely sold but he will compete and give it a crack .. Not a make or break though . Will reserve judgement but think inside mid will be his role not defence

Would have liked Verrall in rookie draft but no apparent list spots , Knobel got taken reasonably early and would have been good if drifted further

Reports that Richmond were heavily into Dowling
Having no list spots isn’t an excuse not to have space for a developing ruck, it’s self inflicted. We are in a rebuild have not drafted one at all. The last ruck we drafted was Strachan and he wasn’t a young developing ruck. It’s madness.

knobel slow and isn't the answer
we needed to trade in and get barnett - disappointed

I don’t care if our SANFL side is unbalanced, odds are not all all will make it and of that list, it’s likely only Worrell will with us and he’s a third tall type.

Would have been nice to have been able to get 1-2 of Crouch/McAsey/Seedsman/McPherson off the list (no malice intended, but we needed the list spots) and be able to have picked up a project tall.

This may still happen over the summer - do we have to wait for a retirement/LTI before inviting players to train on with us?
In 12 months they'll all be gone anyway

I think we'd be more balanced with Verrall over McPherson say. Is Frampton the only tall we lost?

Have we permanently lost McAsey yet?

If so, surely we go two SSPs to replace him and Seed. One of them, if not both should be a tall
Is one still likely to be Turner do you think?

I’m not worried about not having late pick ruck or KPD added to the list this year. Most likely to be AFL quality comes first to my mind. Our only genuine need at this moment is a couple of A grade mids with vision, elite legs and/or speed. Backs and average rucks you can get at anytime it matters. Which it doesn’t really at the moment.
