Aberfoyle Park High didn't require high IQ..

Was a gun footballer back then
I grew up with Adam, and he was pretty switched on when he wanted to be.

However from age 7-8 years old it was obvious footy was going to be his go, just an absolute freak of a kid, never seen anything like it! He was dobbing them from 30-35 on his left while half our team couldn't drop the ball onto their own boot!

He also took the lesser of 2 evils and went to Blackwood over Staberfoyle Park i think!

Updated list position after the main draft nomination of Max Michalanney

Michalanney will join the list after matching a bid, absorbing our current 3rd and 4th round picks. However any residual picks available after this matching process will not be able to join our main list

Lol at North trading the first pick of the 2nd round in 2023 in a stronger draft for pick 23 this year AND giving us another pick on top of it
Reminder that Essendon and Hawthorn exist

They can, if Butts and/or Strachan are promoted after the draft, at the same time as others being demoted

It has been really clear for a fair while that we were only likely to take one pick in this draft. It is now crystal clear - MM will be our only selection with the other required picks taken upgrading Butts and Strachan. Can close the draft thread!

Looks like Michelanney will be our only selection in the ND this year - so no need to demote any senior list players to the rookie list.
So just basically looking on this draft - we're stacked! Must say Rankine and Max is a satisfying result. We'd want that mythical 50 game threshold to hold some magic though.

Haha so I was the only one who saw the trade down and out of pick 23 coming

well it's happened - so we getting nothing other than MM and a late order rookie ruck most likely

We don't give a f!@k about this draft lol.
Or we've got our talent list and decided the guys we want may not be available by the time we pick, so we'll solidify being able to bid on MM and flip our hand to next year in what they may project to be a stronger draft.

Not only a stronger draft, but a year where we have a lot of players coming out of contract who won't be continuing in 2024.

Riley Beveridge says

"The deal essentially means the Crows will not have to worry about the prospect of pick No.23 being eaten up if a bid for Michalanney comes earlier, while also landing the South Australian club a nice selection in 2023."

So is he just guessing or is Michalanney projected to go before 23?

It's not impossible but it's very very unlikely.

So, we'll take Michelanney at the draft, and then pass on our next live pick.

Following the draft, we'll take Butts and Strachan. That gives us two rookie spots and no list spots.

I'm hoping we also delist Seedsman and then sign him as a DFA to the rookie list at the same time (is that the process now, Vader?).

That gives us a list spot, and for the 2nd year in a row we could take a player in the PSD, whoever we feel is the best undrafted player (Verrall? Lemmie? Ryan?).

We take someone in the rookie draft and then we move Seedsman to the LTI list and sign Turner.

It could still be interesting, but not til day 2 ...
