This is the second game Boyd has been named in the starting 22. Pretty average for it to draw criticism.
Voss is looking more at his positives and less at his in-game mistakes. Goes hard at every contest is a fast runner needs to acclimatise to the pace of AFL as all blokes who are desperate to make it do. When the pressure is really on go slower to go faster - the really good players have this naturally. If he stops giving away frees and starts being just a tad smarter he will be a good worker.

Also a very nice kick.

Expected to win, must win for top 4, top 8, chance of finals etc. Been burnt so many, many times.
Very nervous about this one.
We win tomorrow we're top 4 end of the round if Melbourne beat StKilda (else 5th). This makes me worry as the pressure of being in this type of position does not bode well for the post 2002 Blues.

I feel the "OLD" Carlton of the last 5 years we would drop this game.

But not this mob now and with the Captain in Beast mode we'll roll this mob by 6 goals.

Blows my mind that people are willing/wanting a number of positional changes to get Dow in the side to "see what he can do"

I get it, people want to see an early draft pick play/make it at senior level, despite the messaging being clear that he needs to work on aspects of his game

Personally, I would rather see the group build continuity and continue to win, rather than experiment on the hope it could work and or be better for the team as a whole
After Dow's last Qtr against Frankston, he does not deserve to play AFL anytime soon.

On the Dow discussion… pretty sure vossy mentioned in his last presser that Dow may potentially have to find another string to his bow to play in the ones. Probably our 5th best inside mid but if he can add goals in open play to his repertoire then he’ll come into the team sooner rather than later. Kennedy isn’t a lock in the 1s. That’s the spot Dow should be going after.
Kennedy is clearly a lock in best 22. Has been since 2H of last season.
