Probably, but i'd be more keen moving Xerri on and getting Grundy. Then Goldy can play out the year and Grundy can play with CCJ for 4 years.

Just don’t get the hate for X in here he is a young brut of a ruckman who if we develop will be good and won’t cost us the earth and he is a BFNAAK

X will hurt oppositions for years to come

I’m in the Cadman camp myself. Not keen on spending pick 1 on a slow half forward with minimal midfield exposure. Of course I’m selling Sheezel short, but I have concerns. Also happy to sell pick 1 for the right price.
I’m getting massive deja vu reading about Sheezel’s “shortcomings” as they were spoken about Sidebottom before draft.

Sheezel has all the tools to outsmart and outwork his opponent. Add to these facts that he has a lethal peg on him and we should all be happy if he called out.

He would completely complement our current group of mids/HBs/HFs and would be a massive point of difference.

I think he also has the most “killer instinct” out of the top 5 in front of goals. He seems to take the game on and has the confidence to back himself.

I think where the angst is coming from is when was the last time we actually managed to “develop” a guy from just being a raw player into something much better.

One can only hope that Clarko can get back to us and he and Viney can set up an awesome development program that allows players like X to get to their full potential.

We have burned so many picks (players) due to development or lack there of.!!

Jhf out to port, in pick 8 future first and Sinn.
Pick 1 out to gws, in picks 3,12,18
18 out to saints for clark
3 Sheezel
8 Jefferson the kpf everybody is desperate for who is 10 on Twomey’s phantom (Cadman is 5)
12 next best
Cooper harvey.
End result jhf out, in sinn, Clark 3 top 12 picks, Cooper Harvey and ports future first.

Let’s check with the Magic Trade Dice,

I had a gut feel he too was demanding at least pick 2 2022, F1 in 3023 and Butters for the next Paddy Dangerfield, Port need to want him more.

Its not possible for us to get pick 2 from port and for them to still have their future first to give us, because west coast will want that as part of their deal.

Given that the kid would love to get the Hawks, I wouldn't put it past them to highlight those supposed short comings.

I agree.

I think that with drafting we can get caught up in size, speed, athleticism and ignore the big question ... "are they good at football?"

Sheezel is all class. He is a natural. Plus he can already run all day.

You've cited some interesting numbers buttox, where did you source them from?

Second round picks are trash!
Even picks between 11-20 are not much better. Top 5 picks are the golden part of the draft. It's why folks offering pick 15 and saying it's a first round pick are nuffies. It is pretty much a trash pick also.

Geebus don’t draft him then as undoubtedly Hawks will be in his ear all of his first year about coming home!
Jeff will play the Norf is racist card and next thing Cheezels will be requesting a trade after his first year on the eve of trade eon citing the “want to go home to family”…!

I think the response the Magic Trade Dice would have, if it is not possible, we welcome JHF back to the club, it is not our responsibility to get this deal over the line, I am more than happy to let Clarko weave his magic, if that does not work out we take 2 first rounders and a player from either Adelaide or those fuctartes that could not get it done this year

I don’t like how past legends and fans are putting pressure on North to select Cadman. If we don’t rate him as much as other clubs, why should we take him? It also gives the media extra reason to put Logan McDonald-Will Phillips type heat on us.
I would prefer us to grab a kpf in a couple of years when we are further up the ladder. To me it a choice between a top5 pick now or 2×picks around 10ish at a later date to get one with good exposed form later on. Or we may be able to get one as a fa and it costs us nothing. Let some other club do the development time for us.

Ummmm…pick 15 is a first round pick. 🤪

Read the post again and you'll get the context of what he was saying. He wasn't denying that 15 is technically a first round pick, but rather making the point (which Port supporters keep wilfully ignoring) that not all Rd 1 picks are equal. There is a chasm between the first five and the last five of Rd 1.
