When you think about it, our pursuit of reducing debt and turning profit has most likely lead us to what I can only imagine is a bargain basement recruiting and off field team. Getting angry at them isn’t fair either. It’s circumstances. They are trying their best they are just not that smart. Also all of this needs a bit of luck. Something we have had zero of in the last 5 years. Once the rat decided to be a rat it was best to cut him and move on. I personally couldn’t deal with another 12 months of 🌽 speculating and baiting us. If it means we got slightly unders so be it. If they trade pick 3 then shut the place down.

North has the most loyal supporters, let’s see how long that lasts with the lack of media strength and trading like this and the past… Club doesn’t read the room of its supporters… if you think it is a fair deal or is happy with it, then enjoy mediocrity…

Didn't really know where to post my thoughts and musings on this one but I think here will do.

Firstly, I feel like we should have got more, so I'm disappointed like many of you.

Next thing, I think it's clear we wanted JHF gone ASAP. His attitude has clearly rubbed our playing group the wrong way and many of them wanted nothing to do with him once he requested a trade. I know many of you wanted to keep him an extra year, but good luck juggling a kid with a shitty attitude around players that don't like him and want nothing to do with him. Holding him an extra year and playing hardball sounds great in theory when you remove all human emotion, but in reality it wasn't going to work. Can you imagine the amount of energy it would take to try and galvanize a group that has a bloke who everyone knows doesn't want to be there, and the players don't like anyway? The sulking and lip he gave ON THE FIELD was disgraceful enough, imagine forcing him to come back to a club that he's betrayed and what he'd be like when the cameras aren't on him.

I'm conflicted with the Cadman situation. On one hand, it seems we rate Wardlaw, Sheezel and Tsatas in the same tier, and we're trying to lock in two of them - we don't rate Cadman in the same tier which I totally understand. I can sympathise with those who want to lock in a young key position forward and see this as another missed opportunity to do that. Personally, I think Wardlaw and Sheezel are the two best players in this draft so I'd be going best available with them.

Ultimately, I think we tried our absolute best to get a better deal for JHF but it just didn't happen. We decided that there's no chance we wanted him to hang around and negatively impact on the club and playing group for another year, so we shipped him off for the best we could get.

In 3 years we will have a better idea of who won this trade.

40, 43, 55 (equals pick 18) for Brisbane's pick 21. 21 for Clarke.

Late pick for jed, use that for Cooper.

Pick 2, 3, Cooper at draft.

Keep a spot open for whatever comes our way in the PSD.

Death ride JHF and ****ing poort.

We're getting 2 of the top 3 available talents that want to play for us.

It ain't that bad. Could be worse.

Go all in, swap future 1sts, ride them to death.

And if it all goes to s**t, go with hand out from the afl.

I thought you’d never ask!

3 + 40 odd + 40 odd + 2023 R2 > Saints > Clark, 9, 27, 2023 R1

Basically
Jorge/H @ 2
Hollands/Humphrey/Keeler? @ 9
Maybe Cowan, Weddel @ 27

And then potentially 3x Top 10s next year.

Or do we go the riskier option, call it the Swine Shuffle.

3> 14,17 & 2023 R1

I dunno but we need to do something else to make this all work, I assume Viney and Clarkson know what they are doing.

Good post. In my - admittedly unexpert opinion - I'm with you on Wardlaw and Sheezel. Best two and fit for us. Won't be upset with Cadman either even though it looks unlikely.

Just love all the melts going on in here. I don’t know what you lot wanted but we now get a future first rounder meaning probably 2 top 10 picks next year - that’s first. Then there is this year - all you clowns are you happy to settle for ONE of Wardlaw/Cadman/Sheezel/Tsatas. Because now we get 2 of those 4 and it will most likely be Wardlaw and Sheezel which as I’ve said for a few weeks we were aiming for 2 of those top 4. Unbelievable position to be in over the next 2 drafts yet there’s a whole bunch of sooks wanting to burn the joint down. Get some perspective.
This post proves once and for all that you aren’t actually David King 👍🤣

Lotta posters that will definitely be back on draft night, if not sooner.

Na f**k that. I’m done with this club. Too many times this has happen. Taking my membership money elsewhere. Unsubscribing to the Austar. Burning all my kangaroos stuff. The place can get f**ked.

Anyway, what’s everyone’s thoughts on Comben winning the Coleman?

We pay the football department cap, we don't have bargain basement, we just have dumb.
