Would he play predominately chb with small stints up forward do you think Shermanator ?
He comes from Kalamunda (my in-laws stomping ground) so Ive been watching him since juniors and he is a flat out defender mate and a bloody good one too.

Logue’s bio when recruited by Freo..

Standing at 193cm Logue, a talented basketballer and rower, said an AFL career was not always on the radar.
“In my final year at Guildford Grammar our side won the Alcock Cup for the first time since the 1950s which really reignited my passion for the game,” he said.

Logue started 2016 in the Swans Districts Colts, and had progressed to the Swans League side by round six.
He played eight impressive games as a key defender where he averaged 14 disposals and four marks each game.

But Logue said he had a back-up plan if he missed out on the 2016 AFL Draft.
“I am studying commerce and sports science at UWA and if I wasn’t drafted I was either going to finish my studies or keep trying for the AFL,” he said.
“If that didn’t work out I would have gone back to rowing.”

Fremantle’s general manager of list management Brad Lloyd said Griffin was the club’s first top-10 pick since 2009, and the 18-year-old was number one on the club’s wish-list going into the draft.

“We’re really happy to get Griffin in with our first pick,” he said.
“There were a lot of quality players around that pick, but we were over the moon when he was still sitting there.

“He’s a young, tall defender and I really like his athletic qualities as well as the fact he’s an outstanding character.”
Less than a week after being drafted, Logue has already hit the ground running for pre-season training with the Dockers.

“It’s pretty tough and it will only get tougher,” he said. “But I am very excited to get started with it.
“It was a massive shock to be picked but it is really beneficial to stay with a Perth club and have my family around for support.”

Logue comes from an impressive sporting family, his uncle is Wildcats stalwart Andrew Vlahov, his father an accomplished rower, his mother was a state basketballer and netballer and his grandparents represented Australia at the 1962 British Empire and Commonwealth Games.

“I do come from a fairly big sporting family tree,” he said.

“But any young footy player from the Hills dreaming of an AFL career needs to imagine they can do it, train hard, ask people for advice and apply themselves as much as they can.

Really is a sad fall.

His weaknesses have just gotten more exposed year to year.
He is a liability as a tall forward. How can they play him and utilize whatever strengths he has remaining is gonna be a chore.
I might be in the minority here but i hate seeing our former players win premierships with other clubs. Hopefully we start winning our own flags again very soon.
Trust me it’s the Majority. The amount of fellatio sent Browns way last year was sickening. North doesn’t stand for that shit. Reeks of a weak minded mentality that has crept into the supporter base where we are happy to be bystanders and just glad to participate. F*** that shit off. I want to win the ****ing thing in September not miss it.
Why? He has 2 years left on his contract

He signed for 4 yrs didn't he... 2 to go

Stand corrected gentlemen you are right. He does have 2 more years.
I thought he got 2 at 550k per year but completely blanked that it was indeed 4.
Good grief

Just seen the Hagdorn article, but for what it’s worth I got told last night that we are nearly over the line with Logue. However we are still 50-50 with Bruhn. Geelong looking to push hard after missing out on Hopper.

Logue is looking at a decent wage increase but he is also being sold the case that he will have a big opportunity to make Centre Half Back his own. He is desperate to settle in one position.
I am so sick of seeing "Geelong pushing". It feels like they have their claws in everything. Hope he ends up with us.

Do you think we should be after a mature age key back this off season?
Or you think what we have now is sufficient?

We need depth in most areas, key backs included. So, yes.

But if we are going to pay big, get someone worth the price. The search doesn’t need to be restricted to OOC players or this off season

Of course we have a new football dept that should know what it’s doing, but we have a 20+ year track record of over committing to players who want to come to our club

Freo have done us a favour by playing him out of position - draws down his price.

They are stacked for good KPD. Logue is still a developing tall. Could be anything. Seems like a really switched on kid.

I hope we get him. Has a very similar vibe as Gibbo to hawks years ago. I feel like him and McKay could maraude that backline taking intercept marks at will. Both mobile and strong bodied. Take good marks. Have a bit of agro.

If we could get logue this year and somehow pry king out of the Gold Coast next year our list balance would be transformed. 4 kpd in buckets, corr, logue, Dawson, 4 kpf in king, Larkey, Comben, Cadman. Goldie, Xerri, Edwards as rucks. CCJ as a hybrid. Not sure what % of your list needs to be key position but that feels about right?

I'd rather Busslinger
Girl Why Dont We Have Both GIF

Who’s called him roscoe

He’s just a better option than corr, Walker and Dawson - if you drafted a player of Logues ability with a second rounder you’d be happy
So trading a second rd pick is good business
Better business than our 2014 draft, #16 Durdin, #25 Nielson, #36 Vickers Willis and we rookied Joel Tippett.

Logue has played more games than them combined and is in the right age bracket.

And if people don't remember, Clarko had to go and get Gibson, Lake, Spangher and Frawley, as their backline was costing them finals and flags.

It basically just says that in the press conference he said that he expects answers from their players soon so that they can be prepared for their moves. And it again mentions North as Logue's main suitor. But only a mention. No details.

Quote from article below...

“I suppose the timeframe is going to come pretty soon,” Longmuir said when asked when Fremantle will want to know about Lobb, Acres and Logue.

“We’ve got the players for, at the most, another week, then they’re off on holidays, so I’d imagine we’ll get some answers soon.

“We’ll work through that. Trade period starts after the granny and we want to make sure we’re ready for that, so those conversations will happen in the next week or so.”

While not much, I think this bodes well for us re Logue. If he hasn't re-signed yet, he's not going to now with a week to go (based on Longmuir's comments).

Hopefully Lobb/dogs take most of the heat in trade week and Logue gets done quietly/quickly
