Heard a couple of small things from someone at the club. Very confident on DeGoey, unfortunately the NAS rumblings are true, doesn’t mean it will happen this off season though and Gallagher likely to come under significant pressure from the review, possibly won’t survive.
Has anyone else heard this about Gags? What is he under pressure for do we think?

It's a shame Nick Bryan is contracted as I can't see Essendon letting him go cheap.

Looks like he has the potential to be a quality first ruck, although not sure he's much of a threat up forward just yet.

In his 23 VFL game he's already had 8 with 40+ hit outs and seems to be able to get his hands on the footy around the ground

He's always been a good 2s player. The embarrassing thing is some people thought he was a good 1s player.

He probably had our third most Brownlow votes for half a season last year and we turned around our season when he came in. Embarrassing that fans back the club despite all evidence showing that they make constant mistakes.

Heard rumours that Gags isn't that popular with players. Not sure why.

No issues moving Dunny for the sake of Bytel, but now Bytel moving out for opportunity is pretty shameful management.

It's a balance. Do you pay a draft pick for said young ruckman or part with a depth player.

Bryan is worth FA too. He looks like another Heath, semi developed ruck.

Part of management is having a side ready with depth. Keep him and we nearly certainly play finals. Pure inside mids are back in fashion in the last 2 years and we throw away the good one we have because the coach is unable to communicate to him in a way that makes him feel valued.....or see how footy has changed. That's the shit that cost the dwarf his job.

I can honestly say i dont always back the club but 100% do on this one

The fact only one other club wanted him and it was as a depth player says it all really.

He's now playing VFL and probably about to start a chippy apprenticeship.

What's the knock on Matt Crouch? I don't think I've watched Adelaide play at all over the last few years, obviously he's out of favour there but was AA a few years ago. I'm not sure Adelaide are always the best judges... If you think we feel bad about Hind, imagine how their fans must feel watching Stengle.

Well for us, he is slow and we already have a bevvy of slow mids which is supposedly a reason why Bytel has not played more games.

It was the restricted covid cap that meant clubs had less money to throw around. It worked for us signing Ross and Billings, in a normal year they probably get to another club on at least their last contract. Players who came out of contract or into FA that weren't stars got stooged by the timing.

No argument from me there. I got completely off the Ratten bus in the first 10mins in round 1. He's no good. Still seems like a nice fella but.

Would have cost any club close to **** all to take him on.

If he was actually any good another club would have gobbled up as a FA on a basic contract

You genuinely think if we'd had Dunstan we'd have played finals this year?

Yes I think that if we had of had Dunstan this year that Sandy would have been a great show of playing finals. ;)

Not having Dunstan probably meant that this year that we got more games into Windy and Owens at AFL level, and that is a very good thing for our future.
