I’ve said it on here he is looking to get back at end of next or quite possibly end of this year to south Australia. Also said Byrnes and Bytel looking for new homes. Byrnes not many takers so far.
I don't doubt he's going back - its just that its only for a few weeks to visit his mum and step dad.

We will see mate but it’s coming from a very reliable source. Not here to troll this thread
Is your source leaning towards him leaving now or end of next season?
I’d rather rip the Band-Aid off now personally If I had the choice. Gives us a chance at a better draft pick and a chance to start the development of a new player sooner rather than later.

It's a tricky one because he also could change his mind and stay, 12 months is a long time.

Personally I think he's staying.

He’s only gonna improve next year in every way . Hang onto him . His stocks will rise . He’ll put on a bit of weight fitness and poise . There’s two clubs in S.A so make them pay for a known player instead of going into a draft with NFI.

But then again they say we will have to offload players to get draft picks to pay for De Goey.
No they didn’t. They just said that we want to increase our draft capital and that if we get De Goey we could offload a few of the other guys like Hill, in order to increase said draft capital. But they didn’t say it was to pay for De Goey.

Essentially what that suggests is that if we got De Goey, we could afford to offload say Hill, which overall means we’d have a stronger draft hand, without having to go backwards on the field.

Because the acquisition of De Goey would cancel out the loss of a Hill or two.

Said as early as this year but pretty keen next year. Obviously a lot to play out.
Byrnes has had a few meetings with his manager about a potential trade

Obviously thinks his opportunity’s going forward at the saints is limited. Few have gone past him.
Doubt he'd find many more opportunities at any other club

There are spots there for good mids if you can prove yourself

Can't think of many other clubs as desperate for mids with a bit of speed than St Kilda

I don't doubt you've heard something - its just that given the hundreds of people who work in the media, I'm a bit surprised that a Pick 11 who plays 17 games in his first season is supposedly going home because he's homesick but no one seems to know anything about it.

Nothing in the Adelaide papers, nothing in the trade rumours, nothing on the PA board, nothing on the Adelaide board.

Best kept secret if he is leaving.

I'm 100% confident in who told me. So you can say garbage, i say Fact!
If he rocked up late to meetings. He would have missed games.

Everyone who has met him, says he is the nicest bloke going around. Joined a local soccer club in Bentleigh for pre season running.

To a person. They Called him the nicest athlete they have met. Didn’t big note himself. Was just down to earth. Friendly.

Our “playing group” is not forcing anyone out. It never has and it never will.

Hills want to leave is as much about playing under Clarko again as it is Clarko getting the band back together. He feels frustrated at St Kilda, as it hasn’t gone the way we all hoped.

But, he isn’t pushing to leave because the players are forcing him out 😂

Don’t try assassinate the blokes character, thinking it’s an easy win on here.

I’m just passing on what of I’ve heard from someone who’d know. The players have lost respect for him they don’t trust him on the field and they in particular don’t trust that he’s doing the right thing to get the best out of himself off it..

Seems more like an issue for 12 months time. First year players are very rarely traded. Player managers discourage it. Adelaide's early picks are already tied up in Rankine, and Port are trying for both Grundy and Dunkley. So it sounds like neither are planning to have the currency to get an in contracted pick 11. And it's meaningless, but NWM has been liking the posts about Lenny being the midfield coach on instagram which isn't what you would expect someone who was seeking a trade to do.

Hopefully he can settle more next year like many 2nd year players do.
