If he rocked up late to meetings. He would have missed games.

Everyone who has met him, says he is the nicest bloke going around. Joined a local soccer club in Bentleigh for pre season running.

To a person. They Called him the nicest athlete they have met. Didn’t big note himself. Was just down to earth. Friendly.

Our “playing group” is not forcing anyone out. It never has and it never will.

Hills want to leave is as much about playing under Clarko again as it is Clarko getting the band back together. He feels frustrated at St Kilda, as it hasn’t gone the way we all hoped.

But, he isn’t pushing to leave because the players are forcing him out 😂

Don’t try assassinate the blokes character, thinking it’s an easy win on here.
Read Clarko would likely want Rath at North too. Anyone know if there's any legs to this?

Oh goody.

A chance to run the annual ‘Darcy Tucker was a Saints fan’ pics

I reckon a fair % of the population under 35 would be in a mad panic if all workplaces brought in mandatory drug testing - especially if it was serious and they did hair testing, not the blood or urine tests they do with the AFL and most other workplaces.

I'm takes more than a few AFL players to have this sort of demand

Drug testing is different to cocaine testing. More people talk about it than do it regularly. Weed is pretty common now. I know a lot of pretty upright people who smoke weed. They wouldn't look for other drugs but prefer a joint to a beer.

Hence my reason not wanting to post this in the first place. In saying that, I doubt a club who is going to trade him in, wouldn’t know about this. It is no secret around the area.

As others have said, it is common it the afl community and wider population. My frustration was if I was getting paid that much and not performing. I would look after my body.

It must have blindsided us.

Absolutely no talk or whispers of it. Where’d you hear it?

Maybe joffaboy???

My feelings now it is the Tom Mitchell pickup. Why the **** would we want Tom Mitchell…!

I remember when a known Saints party boy was a surprise omission one week (Sam Fisher era)

Turned out he was recovering in a Gippsland hospital after a substance fuelled bender when his missus broke up with him…

We later learnt that he doesn’t take break ups well & turned out it wasn’t a one off
Remember that one well

We probably need another mid and those guys that can win their own ball wouldn't be a bad thing. Not sure he's the one I'd take still. He'd cost a trade.

Darcy Tucker from the Dockers to replace Hill on the HBF ?

I don't see his appeal. He's like one of those Newnes type meh operators. He's not a bad player but he's 25 and hardly about to break out. For all our running around we end up back trading with Peter Bell for a GOP and will probably leave without our first born child, wallet and seven first round draft picks.

He's more injury prone than Hanners as well.

They said they had seen the saints talking with Mitchels management at their local caffe
And presumably Mitchell's manager ONLY manages him and no other players.....

Getting on a bit, isnt he?
I'll never forget Buckley saying, when asked why they didn't tag Mitchell, that he gets it a lot but doesn't do a whole lot with it - or words to that effect.

Inside mids are useful again and if you can retrain them to go direct or get the ball to outside users they make sense. He just looks like he'd cost too much in a trade.
