I wonder if players and managers that were approached during the trade period were made aware of this. I would be pretty pissed off if I was traded to a team. To find out my coach got sacked a day after the end of the trade period.They have a big influence on a players decision. Who would be eager to get to a club with no coach? Did the club blanket any trades for this reason?

People sometimes just want to trade for the sake of it.
We currently have about 5 list spots to fill , so hopefully like was said on here we should be taking 4 in the draft and most probably pick the best out of the delisted players - Stack , Stocker or whoever.

Trade period all done and we can look forward to see the kids take a step up.

I'm just looking forward to guys like Battle , Coffield , Hayes , Sharman , King , Gresham , Higgins , Clark because any of this lot could explode next season and I'm not even looking at the Winghagers etc
Also knowing Marshall going back to the role he thrives in as a follower and just a consistent season from guys like Hill ,Membery , Butler we should improve leaps and bounds.
Guys like Billings could well surprise as well knowing he will not want to be playing in the 2s.

Nick Winmar or Brad Howard over Allison by the length of Flemington straight. Nathan Wright and Oscar Clavarino in that conversation too. Personally I would go Winmar

Hate to say it, but buckley wouldn't be the worst option for us.

We desperately need some system and structure to our play- and that guy is the modern day ross lyon.

I'm sure he's learned his lesson that too much system is bad, you need to allow for some chaos/flair. (Not doing this was his undoing at collingwood).

Doubt it. They would never have been able to keep it under wraps.
Ratts possibly knew, but I doubt anyone else besides a very few at the club.

Good call. I think at least an interm position is worth them looking into while Clarko tries to clear his name.

Let s face it, it's probably the best chance Ratts will get in a head coaches chair now. Two clubs sacked him for pretty much the same the same reasons, I'd say until the trend cycles back to experienced coaches he won't get another interview and even then, he's tainted goods.

Even North might turn up their nose at him, they might prefer more stability. He is definitely the opposite of Noble.
