That year we thought in 3 of them (McKernan, Wood, Frawley)
Bit different just bringing in one guy where we've got a gaping hole.
Unfortunately if Howard goes down we don't have a back up.
It doesn't stop us from draft another key defender in the draft. But they wont be AFL ready day one.

It sounds like Hawthorn are wanting Mitchell off their books to free up $$$ for other players.
With our cap space left after missing JDG, if we could get Mitchell for a nominally low pick he would be worth while IMO.

Destination Unknown.Don't be so deflated. This now means we are a destination club
If I were Ratts I'd be pushing hard for it. It's good insurance incase one of Steele or Crouch go down. Also, despite having these players the last couple of years we haven't been dominating in the centre like we'd probably expect.
I wouldn't be banking on improved second years from last year's crop either.
