I’d definitely prefer M Edwards to Goad but I’d be very happy with this kind of result

I just don’t see it with Edwards. I’d take Green out of the three. Then Goad. Edwards is a no.
Haha I’d go the opposite way round, think Edwards has the most positive traits out of the three (overhead marking, work around the ground, tap work, mobility, height)

All will take a while to develop, of course

if you study previous drafts in their entirety, it’s amazing how many ‘hits’ Hamish has selected beyond the first round. We all know he’ll go left-field, but I’ll back him in to pick at least one absolute ripper with our current haul. Reckon he’s a very underrated recruiter. Just my two cents.

Hi Hamish.

Not that far off, reckon he goes 2nd round somewhere....I don't think too many would have had Schoenmaker going 1st round a 5 or 6 weeks ago.
Geelong I reckon will be all over Hastie at some point as a like for like replacement for 30 year old Tom Stewart.

I wonder if Geelong might put pick 8 up for trade and trade back a few spots and get a 2nd rounder in to pick him up.
Shoenmaker will go in the 2nd round IMO

Not rounded enough player to be a 1st rounder

Another perspective from former AFL Draft Central scout..No Mitch Edwards unless my eyes are playing tricks?

Some very interesting perspectives there... Curtin awfully low and Caddy surprisingly high.
No Edwards or Goad, but Will Green at 18 is wild to me
He mentioned in a reply that he hadn't seen enough of Goad, McCabe and some of the WA boys in person, so that could be the explanation.

With so many going nowhere AFL players still on list .like McHenry ,Sholl and Hamill why aren't we delisting one of them to possibly take in rookie draft .
Having 3 top picks in draft where we can claim a quality mid , KPD and ruck, it defies logic why club struggling to make tough calls like keeping Sloane extra season and even promising Borlase a rookie just not necessary.
Even if combine picks to move up still need to gain a much lower pick to add 3 players to squad to cover losses to keep moving forward.

We have a few more weeks before we have to make a final list cut. It'd be pretty shocking if we don't

Ollie Murphy sounds like a massive AFL fan, and getting to a club sounds like his dream - which already puts him a fair way ahead of McAsey.
Yep, I hope we're remembering now to ask draftees whether they like football in our interviews

Got a feeling Geelong will take Leake , maybe at 8
Amazingly scathing write-up on Murphy, the last thing we need is a non-competitive plodding fullback from the first round.
Pretty harsh on Murphy , very good season emerging from nowhere and as they said not many played fairly well on Walter eg McCabe struggled

A pick in late teens to 20s sounds fair
