Carlton drop the same old players. Silvagni's fault we lost ... again.

Meanwhile the bench is stacked with players who deserve to play. Binns, Cincotta, Kennedy, Cuningham, Fogarty, Dow ... 2 of those will miss out. Probably Binns won't play as he has been an emergency a couple of times and Fogarty for the same reason. Cincotta, Kennedy, Cuningham and Dow on the bench? God forbid Ed and Young are still in and we are dropping 2 of those guys.

Selection is not about dropping the worst player from the previous week. It's about selecting a balanced overall team that gives you the best chance to win in the coming week. JSOS was probably better overall than TDK last week but JSOS cannot backup Pitt and TDK can. And if you play all 3 we become slow and unbalanced as Martin and Cuningham are both chances to play across HF leaving JSOS positionless.

Motlop is a long term player for us. No shame in getting some time in the VFL and working on his game.
