Kennedy apparently was super close - any chance he gets added to the squad?

If there's any possibility Kennedy could play then he must play. With no reserves now he needs at least one game to find his legs before finals.

Even if he doesn't make the team for the first final it increases our stocks of players ready to play.

All the people hoping Cripps doesnt play wouldn't be happy if he missed the Brownlow by a vote.
If he is fit he will play and CFC have not played games on seletion all year.
Cripps will be lucky to be close to the BnF, let alone a Brownlow.

Does anyone subscribe to the fact we ‘need’ to have played finals before in order to impact.I personally don’t as some of the games and teams we’ve played over the 6 weeks have been finals like.

I think it's a myth that you need to play and lose in a finals series to be a chance to win one. No other sport in the world says it about a playoff/knockout cup competition except us. I'm not sure how it crept into AFL parlance but it gets said every year about a few clubs.

Imo it's a silver lining for when your team loses a final to say at least you've got some experience now.

I reckon to win a Grand Final you've got to at least have won a preliminary

If I had to guess, team at about 6pm Sunday when they announce Cripps is out....

FB: Kemp Weitering Newman
HB: Fisher McGovern Saad

C: Acres Hewett Cottrell
R: Pittonet Cerra Walsh

HF: Martin DeKoning Fogarty
FF: McKay Curnow Motlop

INT: Cincotta Dow Hollands Owies

SUB: Cuningham

Durdin next in if a forward half player is a late withdrawal, Marchbank if it's a back half player.

Yeah, I reckon that's spot on.

Bulldogs 2016 won it after being knocked out in an elimination the year before. Can’t recall them in a prelim before it.
Richmond 2017 hadn’t played in a prelim from memory.
The experience definitely helps but no a necessity.
