Very exciting that we should have Walsh, Kennedy, Acres as ins.

That’s already plenty of changes, so I’d leave it at that.

LOB gotta go for Acres.
Honey for MK
Tougher after that… but someone has to go for Walsh. Hewett doesn’t seem right, so might need a rest?

Heading to Adelaide from Melbourne Thursday morning. The missus god-bless her booked a hotel as soon as the announced that they were doing the gather round in Adelaide, so got in before the prices took off.

Got tickets for Thursday night, and the Sunday double header (the missus is Collingwood).

How many others are heading over ? Which is the best pub to have a few jars at before the game?

Stig O'Hara could help

Amazed to see the amount of people wanting to drop Fisher. The bloke had 28 disposals at 78% efficiency. Was one of our better ones last night.

Honey and LOB are the obvious outs. Ed and Cowan most vulnerable after that, but not through poor performance, just the quality of the INS. Depends if Voss wants Ed to be able to shut down Laird or Rankine. If Cowan comes out, Doc or Hewett to spend more time down back. Mightn’t be the worst thing for Moo to be able to go back to the VFL and get a bit more of the ball. But also wouldn’t hate to see him keep his spot. Love what he brings.

Martin can bide his time in the VFL, he’s not an automatic selection anymore. Mots and Durdin already providing more pressure and durability. Mots has the potential to become a real match winner if he keeps growing his game the way he has been.

Here is the chart in MRO thread.

Here is also definitions on 'impact' (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...sQFnoECB0QAQ&usg=AOvVaw3HorTIQq_BmdkZHFoDVfVr)

Genuine question: what is the difference between 'low' and 'medium' impact? Is it arbitrary? From my point of view (admittedly biased), I can't see how this could be graded as 'medium'?
Arbitrary. Whatever the MRO are feeling like that day.

Can't possibly see how it could be graded anything but low though.

Fine absolute maximum

Team for Round 5 (Ins/Possibles if forced out)

FB: Newman - Weitering - McGovern (Kemp/Plowman)
HB: Docherty - Young - Saad
C: Acres - Cripps - Hollands
OB: Pittonett - Kennedy - Cerra
HF: Fisher - C Curnow - Silvagni
FF: Motlop - H McKay (Owies??) - Durdin

Interchange: De Koning (F/R), Walsh (OB/F/W), Hewett (OB) Cowan (B)

Sub: E Curnow

O’Brien (omitted) replaced by Acres
ECurnow (omitted) replaced by Kennedy
Honey (omitted) replaced by Walsh

Carroll (sub) replaced by Ed or George as the sub
I don’t think we can have all of Cripps/Ed/Hewett/Kennedy in the starting 22
i still think Dow is not the answer, I would like more of Hollands, Durdin and Docherty attending CBs to provide a point of difference.

if McGovern is not right then I would give Kemp a go
Owies unlucky if he is right to go, Walsh probably takes the Honey role and plays up forward along with Kennedy
if Harry gets a week for a high shot, I don’t see a Key Forward ready to go, maybe Owies comes in and we play TDK, JSOS and Charlie as KPFs and Owies comes if Harry. Let’s hope it’s a fine.

In - Walsh 😍, Acres, Kennedy

Out- LOB, Honey, Carrol

Personally I've seen more than enough of LOB. Not going to make it at the top level. Stop wasting our time with him

Acres came in and showed what we should expect out of wingman.

Hollands is a first year player and already better than him.

Binns will be better by the end od the year.

Cottrell already better.

Agree on Fish, he played really well. With all of our midfield bulls, he brings something different to the mix. He is a great link-up player.
Honey went okay I thought. Got it nine times, went at 80% disposal efficiency. Kicked a nice goal, would like to see him get another game. However, he probably will not, with our in's.
Vossy was almost salivating at the prospect of having Walsh back. Makes me think that he could easily be best on, in his comeback game, such is his professionalism.
Hoping Freo give the Crows a tough game today, they do have a one day shorter break than us. Bout time we won over there, huge opportunity for us to maintain our undefeated run.

Nope, stats are deceiving. Having been at the game, Fisher did some incredibly sloppy things. Including shying away from a contest when it was a 2v1. This isn’t a one-off. It’s a running theme. He has potential and we all know what he is capable of, but after the amount of time in the system we can’t keep carrying the inconsistency.

Same thing would go for Martin when he plays.

Fisher, LOB and Homey are our 20th, 21st and 22nd players

agree. we cant afford not to have our workhorses playing in Adelaide.
Season 3 Pony GIF by Parks and Recreation

Ed preparing for Thursd'y nite.

Acres comes in, lob goes out. Nothing surer.
Have to agree with this. I've been quite supportive of LOB and like him as a player - and I thought he had been getting better but he had a stinker of a game yesterday so it becomes a no-brainer.

LOB may come good - he seemed to be playing with a bit more intent yesterday in terms of attempts to tackle and not being quite as outside but nothing he tried seemed to come off. Hope he tears the place up in the VFL and demands another go but it is not looking good.

Fisher 19 handballs and 4 inside 50s, hardly what his role demands.
Honey playing Half fwd zero tackles-no way he goes to Adelaide

Think this will be our toughest contest so far, as I rate the Crows and if they click, they are hard to stop

In: Walsh, Kennedy, Acres

Out: LOB, Honey, Carroll

Sub: Coin toss, probably Ed

Thought Cowan was coming off a little last week, but was strong today, love his natural toughness. If he is to be managed, use Cincotta

Martin probably needs a run at VFL level, Cuners the same

I'd make Fisher sub...yes I know his second half was ok but if there was ever a game we needed more steel from the first contest, it's this one. Ed can lock down and provide grunt at the contest (before it goes into open space).
Also, prefer Fisher's fresh legs than Ed's. Acres and Walsh will add a bit of speed that we lose with Fisher
This will be our biggest test this year. It was our WORST loss last year easily
