Crows playing so well today. If we start like we did against North they'll be six goals up at half time. Simply must be switched on.
Agreed, let’s hope they are prone to fade-outs as inexperienced sides generally are. Though, they do have a plethora of senior talent and cool heads.

I still think we are a vastly better side, I believe we are 2nd-4th right now. Adelaide will be 6th-10th.

Why am I sensing that LOB stays in coz Voss likes having left footers down the 1 line ?
There should be a riot if he is selected. The guy is embarrasing and holding us back. Drop him please .
Fisher not far behind him
beware the 4am post........

The whinging on the main board and the fact there is a dedicated thread to the umpiring is ******* laughable. I watched the replay last night and there were two incidents that were wrong; the head high on Zurhaar which they got a goal anyway and the running too far. The rest were there. You can't scrag off the ball, chop arms or tackle without the ball.

In fact they're the frees that McKay and Curnow should be getting every week.

I’d actually argue that Mackay and Curnow don’t get the frees they deserve - I heard Charlie found Grimes stuck to his jumper in the washing machine after the Richmond game - the week before against GWS was also farcical the amount of holding Buckley and Taylor got away with.

I can't see us beating the Crows next round.

No shame in it either - they're going to be very hard to beat over there this season. But we've not quite hit full stride just yet and their forwards are in top form.

Any way you cut it 4 points next week would be a huge bonus.

Last year they came off a shocker then belted us. They seem pretty pleased with themself at the moment. Hopefully it causes them to let there guard down.

Bring on the challenge, having Worpa and Bam back would be a big boost to the group!! Can’t wait for it 💙

I think there’s a spot for Plowman this week with both Rachele and Rankine on the other side and a defensive forward possibly required for Laird.

Tough for the Outs but a good problem to have:

B. Plowman. Weitering. Newman.
HB Cowan. Young. Saad.
M. Acres. Cerra. Hollands
HF Fisher. Charlie. Kennedy.
F. Motlop. Harry. Durdin.
R. Pittonet. Cripps. Walsh.
I. Hewett. Docherty. TDK. JSOS

E. O’Brien. Ed. Honey. Martin

No Gov?

Not a lot of star power on the team sheet, but they play fast, link up and take the dangerous kick…basically the game style that will really trouble ours. They’re also at home with no travel the week prior.

Rachele, Rankine and Dawson have been very impressive today and are the types that can really trouble us.

Wouldnt Be surprised if we drop this.

Yep those 3 plus maybe Tex and Laird are the ones to watch.

Adelaide are playing with good spirit and actually have a really dangerous forward line.

X-factor with Rankine and Rachelle. Good talls in Tex, Fogarty and Thilthorpe. Gollant and Soligo capable of hitting the scoreboard. Our back 7 have been our best line all year though so will be great to watch.

Simple, Fisher.
Horses for courses. Fisher moved into the midfield & we have midfielders returning.
Don’t believe Fisher’s forward work has been enough to keep him up forward, would prefer Honey as a permanent forward if it came down to the 2.

IN: Walsh, Kennedy, Acres
OUT: Fisher, ???, LOB

No travel for a while now, Rich @ home, PTA (away @ AO), FRE @ home then a “neutral” game @ AO vs us.

Could be right.
Wasn’t Plowman deplorable (not alone) last time around vs ADL?

You beat Adelaide by denying them clearances so they can't chain off and give fast supply to their fwds.

Carlton will have the best midfield we've been able to put on the park in along time and should smash them at the source and give our fwds lots of good looks.

Blues will win, stop worrying.

All people do here is worry.

3 games in a row the boys have shown they can get it done but people just prefer to be negative and ignore the facts.

They played crap opposition today. They have much harder opposition next week the crows and we have handy inclusions coming in

Woudn't believe in the hype too quickly Just 2 weeks ago they were 0-2 coming off losses to Giants away and a home loss to Richmond.

They beat a lowly Port side and a Freo side who just scraped along against a depleted Eagles side.

Not underestimating the crows but if we bring our A game we will win. Can't have any lapses

The Crows are a decent football team. We went over there with our season on the line and were embarrassed by them. We failed to travel last season and we let our selves down in big games, this could be one of those games if losing these sort of games becomes a thing for us again.

We should field a strong side this week, questions is will some be a bit underdone?

B: Young Weitering Newman

The sign of a good side is there are players there being dropped who played alright. It's hard to give blokes a chance to break in but also go back to your best 23. The outs are decent, the ins are excellent.

What will challenge us is the midfielder who has to go forward. Last season it was Walsh at high half forward, Cripps deep, Kennedy can go forward. I think if we can get an impact from our mids when they go forward and that includes the ruck, then that takes us to another level. It's something missing from our team.

Either way that's the strongest midfield we have had on paper in 23 years or more so it's a big day.

The other possible change is Cowan for Kemp. Kemp has been good and has been consistent in the VFL. Cowan has been good but pressure has been right on him and it might be time for a stint back there. Kemp a more mature and experienced body. I think Kemp is close, he should come in should there be an injury to McGovern.

Martin is a chance but he is not a walk up start IMO, Voss may think otherwise. He does not fit into that side unless we rest a sore body or do something stupid and play 1 ruck.

We have huge midfield numbers, going in with two rucks, 5 pure on ballers, two very good wingers and Docherty and Fisher to rotate through there, we must be all about fresh legs, grinding them down all day and running over the top of sides as well as maintaining a high level of intensity, physicality and pressure.

We have a defensive game plan, we are hard to score against, hard to open up. It could be what works against the tops sides. IMO it's designed to stand up against the better teams. It's also because teams will religiously push numbers back and flood against us because of McKay and Curnow. Our forward line is always going to be congested because of them, if teams don't they kick 10. So to combat that tactic we just live with it and do it back to the opposition. It's old school but we are undefeated...

Crows looking very good and certainly not the walk over game we had hoped, we will need to be in our best and need someone for Rankine, not sure Newman has the tools for someone as dynamic as him.

Walsh for Carroll.
Kennedy for JSOS
Acres for LOB.
Jack Sos had a shocker I thought, he was okay last week. Overall he has had a poor start to the season.
I would retain the two ruckmen and our inclusions make us so much stronger.
Maybe Fish as sub.

You're thinking we need to handicap ourselves 4 or 5 goals by playing plow? You're more confident than me.
