I remember posting this in Evans draft year, remember him as having an exceptional leap...we could actually be having a look at him as Strachan's replacement...now we just need to look for ROB's replacement?

Taheny seems like a weird pick

No SANFL games in 2024, and pretty poor production overall in the two seasons before that
I seem to recall he's had a history of knee issues dating right back to U18's, had talent but there were big questions about his commitment and preparation back then.

Interesting approach by Adelaide with the new rules targeting younger developing players. Bit surprised Ned has taken this path and sad to see McCormack leave, he was kicking bags of goals in the reserves this season.
It seems like Adelaide is using the new rules more as an adjunct to a rookie draft.

ok judging by this mccormack doesnt count as one of the 4 as sturt themselves are describing him as a community listed top up player, and ned is under the talent development program, which i think is crows pay a 2.5k loan fee and if not selected he goes back to sturt.

McCormack according to Playhq is from Rostrevor OC and before that Hahndorf in the Hills Association.

Did a knee last year too
I remember in his draft year he was touted as a 1st round chance after some big games at League level for the Redlegs but then his form tapered off towards the end of the season. Was still expected to lgo reasonably high but that didn't eventuate with rumours swirling around about his preparation etc, possibly got a bit ahead of himself.

Everything came very easy to him before getting drafted, got a bit of a culture shock along with the injuries. He spoke very highly of what Geelong were and what they did for him... he just knew he didnt have that extra level of work in him.

Ned would still play ressies if not selected for Adelaide.

Tommy would go back to a community club.
