Personally I'm happy with all of our picks aside from 32 for Barrat. Nothing against him, I just thought after our first two picks, we had different areas of need. Obviously a mid would have been nice, but I think Jack Whitlock would have made more sense since we lack height.

Drafting is basically just gambling, so at the end of the day it doesn't really matter, just on paper it's a little confusing.
Barrat for me is the Battle replacement & we want the Viking taking screamers at C.H.F yeah.

Rekon Cole fell off when we picked up Barrat. Don't think the club expected to land both him and Tauru which shifted things.

Hof was like Biggie a few years back - Probably happy to rookie him but if he got a senior spot we'd let him go. Sounds like we had the Irish lad lined up in the event we didn't get either NGA kid.

Hope Elwood still gets a crack but, realistically, he's Baily Rice 2.0 and if he wasn't a father/son we wouldn't even be thinking about him.

Can't fault the list build overall. We've filled the depth chart across the board so competition for spots is going to be fierce!

This should be more than enough compensation for us not picking a Sandy dud to take up one of our valuable list spots.

Most of our draftees have played more than one position. Cole is full back and that’s all. They had a choice between Coke and Barrat and went for the latter.
If a mic had slipped through to our forest we might have taken Hoffman but once we took Travaglia he probably wasn’t needed. I’m glad he got picked up.
Elwood is a mid/forward, Rice was a small defender. I think Elwood’s got more going for him.

Feel a bit bad for Cole, hope he gets rookied by someone else. Having your dream ripped out from under you after almost being a certainty to be drafted by someone in the lead up must be tough.
AFL footy is a tough gig. I still hope he signs with Sandy. He only needs to look at Wilkie to see that anything is possible.

Yeah didn't mean functionally, as a player.

More that; If his name was Elwood Blues we probably wouldn't be wondering if he was getting a rookie deal or not.

you'd have to ask them. but if the expectation was set with the players that one of them would be picked up on the rookie list, only to then go away from it, it's not good.
I don’t think anyone who matters gives a rats to be honest. I’m sure how many times we have to go over the same ground, it’s a stupid idea with zero benefit to player or club. Anyone up to task doesn’t need it and we have no claim on them.

Suns have stolen Max Knobel from Fremantle

Brad Crouch re-rookied
