any danger of offering the 1.5mil to Harley Reid?
that kid will single-handedly drag any club to a premiership.

Yep. That would be my strategy. Save every dollar you can for next 2 years then throw $3m a year at him in 2027.

Kid is as good a teenager as I have seen since Lockett. I reckon wooden spoon in 2023 was worth a lot more than playing finals.

Whatever Reid's contract at WCE ends up being, it will be a lot less that he will make from all the side deals that he will get from being the biggish fish in the WA pond.

He will not be leaving WCE for us just due to money, as he will make far more from staying there.

He certainly will not be leaving the richest club in the land.

The last number I heard was that they have $80 MIL in the bank.....thank you very much.

Just 5% or so of that would make our remaining debt disappear.

At this stage I would be surprised if Webster didn't get another year after he was brought straight back in post suspension.

Webster. Very obviously a hard nut still playing well, we need his type.
Jones : Agree , i think he's done.
Campbell: Only if we get other , better ruck depth. Don't want to replace him with a 29 YO GOP.
Paton. Looking like it, not going to be more than depth at this point. Probably replaced by Hastie at least. OOC

Sharman: you could ask the question, but right now we don't have the depth.
Byrns : Every club needs midfield depth, ours more than most.
Alison OK, if Sharman is a question mark Alison is not the one you want to keep.

McLennan: I thought he was tracking OK, but he doesn't seem to be on the radar for selection, and out of contract.
Butler? : OOC
Heath : His progress seems very slow. Talls take longer i guess.
Hotton : Who? Injured a lot, but not showing much when he's not.

Lot of people here hate him, but it seems that every coach he's had loves him.
I always thought he was an honest plodder. Lock down defender that lacked speed but frankly we need guys like him in the rebuild. Hes a GOP to be sure but he works his ass off and he cares.

Plenty on the list that cant say the same.

Hes the sort that if someone is keeping him at Sandy then were doing something right IMO.

There was a stat by Champion data

Brad Hill has one of the worst kick retention ratings in the AFL for kicks made under pressure but when under no pressure he was number 1 in the league.

We need to find a way to get him into open space more often.

Crouch coming back will make a huge difference

Brad and his "silky" skills are a running gag with me and my mates.

He certainly looks pretty kicking the ball but as noted if hes taking an easy option he hits it, if hes taking the tough one he rarely, if ever, does.

Someone could offer Battle 900 if Hayward is around that mark. If we finish bottom 4, you'd be crazy not to accept an additional top 5 pick, if that's what it generated. We've hit 1 from 3 top 5 picks in 25 years so 2 in one year would be an amazing platform for the next group coming through. Play Shoenmaker in Battle's spot next year.

To get first round compensation he must become one of the top 40 paid players.

Jones, Seb Ross, Allison, Campbell/Moose, Paton, Clark could all go IMO. Maybe Byrnes too.

I'd keep Webster and Sharman of those.

Players this year likely will be with the increase in the CBA. Its a weird anomoly that will really only happen this year too.

Any mid who rates themselves but aren't in the starting 3 at their club.
Hi Sainters.

You should consider Will Brodie.

We have depth for inside mids and I can't see him getting games for us. We have Johnson and Erasmus both wanting to become the Fyfe replacement.

He is a flawed but decent player. I think he is AFL standard, but not an all game runner. Can be a beast of an extractor with a lethal handball.

He would be cheap and the club may prefer the list spot and salary cap. I think he still has 2 years on a modest contract.

I would be very happy with him. Looks a Ross Lyon special.

Hawks and/or Roos will offer Battle 5-6 years at 900k+
I really like Josh but you have rocks in your head if you think SOS isn't salivating at getting 2 top 5 picks. And frankly, I want a shot at a midfield. I don't think things are as bleak as they seem but we aren't going anywhere without a top 6-7 midfield in the league and we are miles off that.

Keeler might get a look in
