Yep, desperately need to draft / trade for another ruck ....and those advocating Thilthorpe, with his regularity of picking up injuries, and often knee problems ....the last thing you do is get to ruck more than just as a relief RUCK

I have always been wanting Thilthorpe as a tapping mid new age ruck type.
He has put on more condition and pure strength with more to come for that role without injury risk.
Was clearly wrong and will be the bear in the square relief ruck.
Would like the beard back though

Fair enough. That was sheer stupidity by the coaching staff.

Having said that, there's no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Murphy would have been dropped even if they weren't ****ing Rachele.

I know there was media saying RT had signed, but have the AFC come out and said it? If I can find a press release from the Crows, I'll change it. Edwards and Ryan only got the initial 2 year deals when drafted because they were drafted after pick 20.

EDIT: Actually I was right. It's only the first 20 players taken in the draft who get 3 year deals.

We took Rachele with pick 6 and now trading him for pick 11?

Essentially you are trading our future first for pick 17, ANB and Petty. If we have a similar year to 2024 that would be a really bad outcome. We would miss out again on high end talent. If you are confident we will play finals then it works.

I wanted a Pick to take Dodson and 17 should be around the mark. Freo really should play finals next year and may be a Top 4 side. We will have a better draw and should improve but it's an optimistic supporter thinks we're playing finals. So maybe, Pick 8 for Picks 14 and 17 - which be slightly in our favour; or Pick 12 and 17 for Pick 5 which still isn't dreadful. We have to sort out the ruck position and Dodson could be decent solution. Rachele is a very good young player but I don't think he's a gun. Pick 11 is fair. I don't think Melbourne is a buyer at Pick 5 or Essendon at 8 but Carlton at 11 is realistic.

Taken in the same draft as Berry and hasn't shown more than him at AFL level IMO. If we're going to offload Berry we shouldn't be replacing him with Phillips.

No, was taken surprisingly high, not quick and basically an inside mid with no other strings.
