Any super quick small forwards? Phoenix Spicer is on the Dogs VFL list but is only good in flashes. Aiden O’Driscoll could have played a pretty important role going forward and with his potential future gone it’d be good to find someone else with some similar traits.
Phoenix Spicer is a below average VFL player.

Boyd Woodcock might get a look in. Maybe Frank Szekely or Oscar Smartt (who is 180cm and I'd dispute that rules him out of "small forward" category. Couldn't tell you about speeds.

Poor Bloke

Who are the best ruck prospects available?
Teakle is the standout from the WAFL, SANFL has Harry Boyd but he has a DE of 50% and is 27. No one really in the VFL. Crossley is not fit for the AFL.

From CTL, Mapley, Smit and Pike are all names that have come up. I think they're the only ones who are eligible.

Are the supplementary lists still valid?

It is making me wonder what happens if a club is short of players.

As it stands, if Richmond named a team at this moment (Sunday evening), at least some of their emergencies wouldn't actually be available.

Having said that, 4 players 'should' be back this week, but that's how tight things are getting.

A bad run with injuries this week and the mid season draftees from Wednesday could be required to play on the Saturday just to make up the numbers.

Jean-Luc Velissaris (Northern Bullants)
Flynn Gentile (Coburg)
Oskar Smartt (Essendon)
Jack Hutchinson (Collingwood)
Max Hall (Box Hill)
I'm surprised there hasn't been more chatter around Velissaris, his stats are second to none in the VFL.

This MSD seems heavily weighted towards inside midfield and medium forward prospects. Unfortunately for the Lions, we don't need either position. I expect Blight and Smartt to go early since KPP and small forward prospects are a bit scarce at the top end.

Are clubs too focused on looking for that standout trait or breakout season, at the expense of those who show incremental improvement over time?

Anyone wanna have a go at needs first?

Good draft but I don't think Collingwood takes Flockhart. He hasn't gained much media attention. More likely to take Pike who would essentially replace Begg in development given the latter is likely delisted at the end of the year. Additionally, Collingwood has a second pick.

Geordie Payne is a lock at this stage to be drafted. Another starring performance on the weekend for Tasmania.

Love the Frank Szekely selection for the Lions. :D

If we go for one of our VFL top up players I think we go with another brother Jake Lohmann over Kyle Dunkley.

Good effort, I'd be pretty happy with that from a North Perspective.

Appreciate you putting a list together but from a Port perspective we will never be going for another ruck (Joe Pike).
We are good in that department.
Most likely we'll being drafting a small to medium defender or a forward
Good attempt at putting out a list its never easy.

Good effort but if North do take Howes with #1

I would rather Pike & Scaife with Richmonds picks
Naismith with a career ending knee and Richmond desperat need for a KPF

* No idea who cooper is but i doubt we draft a 8 year old kid
