Oh how we’ve been burnt several times forecasting a victory before the bounce. If we’re not switched on from the get go, we will lost it.

For the first time in a month, essendon won the clearances. Against us, I’d expect them to bring in Setterfield to add a stronger body around the contest.

It’s going to be a hot contest. Of course I’d love to smack them and boost our percentage, but I reckon this will be close. Merrett and Martin their keys.

We should win this, but Scott has them playing well. Langford is a massive out if he doesn't play.

We are better than them on every line but I think it'll be a grind. Win it out of the middle, plenty of pressure and burn them on the rebound with clean entries into our 50.

* looked shit against GCS

We smack them Sunday

Might be cruel but moving young marchbank and Williams out of backline has helped the most
yup this 100%

young - cant think of what to do. either bombs it or takes forever. probably the worst player to have ball in hand I can think of

marchbank - iffy disposal though fairly smart. body prevents him from continuity

williams - mercurially brilliant but has the propensity to turnover 1 in every 4th disposal. up forward we maximize his magic whilst hiding his errors

Voss: "Harry, call your mum and get her to invite you and Ben for dinner Saturday night".
Harry: "Why?"
Voss: "No nothing, just sprinkle this in his drink when he's not looking"

Voss hands Harry a vial with a label with Russian writing translated to; "mild case of food poisoning"

Harry: "What is it? is it safe?"
Voss: "Yeah it's all good, just some creatine, he looked a bit tired against the Suns and want to pep him up a bit".
Harry: "Thanks Vossy"
Voss: "Make sure you don't take any, Russell says you're all creatine'd out at the moment".
Harry: "No problems".
Voss: "Oh Harry do you know anyone in the club who still hangs with Setters?"

Will Ben be playing on Harry? If I was * you'd surely put Ben on Charlie??

I think Ben is their best match up on Charlie. He can muscle with Charlie when he looks to get over the back. Laverde will probably be suspended which only helps us. Would be nice to see Ridley following Harry instead of following the ball.

Dons board reckons Hayes comes in. 19yo 199cm defender. I’d be dragging him back to the goal line at every opportunity.

I think we are the better side and would win this game 7 times out of 10, doesn’t make it certain though.

They missed goldy today v GC so he will help coming back. They will bring in Setterfield and/or Shiel too.

Not sure if we bring anyone in, maybe Motlop as sub? Good Carroll got a full game in vfl today.

Scott has to give the people what they want to start with doesn't he? Ben charging over to H, it would be awesome in a full mcg. As H said, he'd kick 10 on him and get subbed at half time..

Walsh "last year that was probably a disapointing game for us, so I think we will be out for hopefully a little bit of redemption"

If the result of this game last year truely was the point where they decided to take a good hard look at the way they were going about it and resolve themselves to turn it around there isn't a snowflakes chances we come out with less then muderous intent sunday night.

Yep always worries me when our fans just think we are going to roll straight over teams easily.

The facts are * are in decent form and often play well in big games when they are the underdogs and have the pace & skill to really worry us.

GC usually put teams away in conditions like today but they kept coming at them late.

Merrett & Martin are definitely keys who can cut teams apart by foot, Ridley another important cog who needs to be made to defend (Williams?)

because our posts have such a bearing on our playing group, just like yelling at the TV does

enjoy the smack talk, its been a while since we've been able to engage in it with any sense of credibility

Carlton by plenty, * to have their 2024 "campaign" well and truly ****ed over
