thinking out loud now that GWS are LIKELY having such a plethora of top 20 ish picks (15,16, end of round one for CumminG)

If 25 is for ANB (hopefully something coming back to help with Welsh points)

do we offer F1 for Peatling AND GWS pick 16 or more likely end of first round compo this year?
Sounds good, but we would need another list spot.
I also wondered about Freos 16 and 27 for our F1. They get a F1 for Warner and we use 25 & 27 on our 2 trades and keep 16 for draft (Dobson?)

We still have the option of delisting Burgess. He remains in limbo, with a final decision depending on what draft picks we end up with at the end of the trading period.
Yeah I agree, his contract seems a mystery though. Paying out Smith, Schoey or Strachan also an option.

Sounds fun.
If it's Peatling and 19 for F1
i think its not far off being fair for both clubs with this years draft being much stronger and deeper. And I expect a spike next year (top 8) but thats clearly the risk for us.

We will ask for 16 no doubt for starters

that also works. (what was) 25 for ANB, 27 for Peatling and use 16 in the draft - seems even better than what i proposed :)

Gotta luv PS5 trading at this time of year

Unlikely to happen, though I can definitely see 1 or 2 of them being shuffled to the rookie list (ahead of a 2025 departure).

I can see us delisting Burgess, even if this requires paying out a 2025 contract (his contractual status remains ambiguous). I can't see that happening with any other player(s).

Can I just say that I think a lot of our supporters are underestimating how good this bloke is.

If you watch the Demons over the last few years, he is very very effective.

I reckon he is gonna be a fan favourite pretty quick.

<EDIT> Turns it on against the Paer too ...

Agree - I've always rated him at the Dees

Heard this last week from my mate in recruiting, Lalor or FOS are firming for that pick one to Richmond (with the other likely for North)

Gut feel is that the Crows end up with either Jagga Smith or Sid Draper at pick 4 (or 5 with the Ashcroft bid)

Agreed, but keeping any of those 4 at the expense of having another pick in this draft seems crazy. We 100% know that Strachan or Burgess will never be AFL players. Probably great guys, just not AFL players, whereas Dobson, Travaglia or Tauru say could easily end up stars.

I think it will be Langford.

Rich -Lalor
NM - FOS
WC - Draper
Ade - Langford

Cummings, Peatling and ANB should all get done for 2 second rounders.

I could see our F1 being used for someone now we’re not getting Luko. Who else we targeting?
Cumming is free.

They're never going to be AFL players, but at least Strachan provides us with reasonable depth in a position where we have few options. Burgess offers little.

Culling Strachan (or others) opens up a list position, but it doesn't get us into a draft position where we might be able to grab the likes of Dobson/Travaglia/etc. There's not a lot of point in culling a contracted player, if the replacement is someone we're selecting at pick 70+ in the draft.
