When we have stuck to the basics we have played well - however when he’s attempted to add other layers to the game plan which he should for what ever reasons players have struggled to adjust

Is because there is too much inexperience in the group, or poor on-field leadership, or it’s not communicated and trained well enough by the coaches - maybe it’s a combination of all these things

hmmm yes and no

he started complicated. players didn't understand it.

they peared it back. didnt have enough variety to win often. then he added your layers which is the complicated bit. but if instead of making it complicated he focussed on the opposition and selection for that team and ground I think we would have been better.

the depth next year will help eek out some easier wins i hope.

Pick4 mid this year

Kicking to a forward line with

Thilthorpe - pick 2
fogarty - pick 12
Pedlar? - pick 11

1) Bring in at least one elite player - FAIL

2) Bring in at least 3 best 22 players - PASS

3) Retain our first three picks in the 2024 draft - FAIL

4) Retain our first three picks in 2025 draft - BORDERLINE (can we turn a F3 + F4 into a F2???)

5) Not use up too much of the salary cap - BORDERLINE (what are we paying ANB, Cumming and Peatling.

I think a C to C+.
