Rumour from the Blues board that Crows have offered a late pick for Matthew Kennedy (Pick 42)

Kennedy was subbed out in the elimination final, and the relationship with the club is considered over. Has been told by the Blues they're happy for him to explore his options, can walk for nothing next year.

Always thought he was a dud first round pick but the games I saw him play this year were a significant improvement. Not right for us though as hindering young midfield talent and he will only ever be a B grader at best. Seems like a popular and good team man though so someone will pick him up

Someone help me cope here: what reason would Cumming have to not nominate a club at this point unless that club were still in finals.

My best guess….its only 3 days since their season came to a shattering end. Nominating a club now makes it seem absolutely obvious this move and the research and interviews has been planned and executed already in recent mths. By saying he wants out to SA, then doing due diligence over coming weeks, it seems a more considered and less during-season decision. Perception thing only but it’s the way I would also play it if I was him

Continually going back to that defensive gameplan no matter how unsuccessful it is would back that up.

The question is will GC lose anyone to free agency. If they do then they would prefer to trade for Himo so they don’t lose the compo. We obviously are in the same boat if we get Cumming, so in those circumstances Himo could become part of a trade for Luko.

Interesting times ahead for us this year.

We ain’t getting anything meaningful for Dragon in terms of FA compo. Low salary and probably 2, maximum 3 year deal, from Suns

Knowing Nicks through a "Toyota yard". I'm fascinated how someone who works in a car dealership would have a good handle on someone's personality traits. Due to A) the fact they work in a car yard B) the time exposed to this person C) Again a carsalesman?

It was reported yesterday Rosas was staying.
And Lukosius to Port 2 years was 100 percent true. It's whether or not that's changed due to Crows offer and Port can't afford him etc.

He definitely doesn’t need to, but if he’s decided, what’s not nominating achieve unless that club is still in finals and prefers no nomination for whatever reason.

ANB may have taken a bit to nominate a club because he needed assurance a trade was possible. That’s not a factor here, Cumming is 100% getting to the club he wants.

Perhaps he hasn't yet. Just knows he wants to get to SA due to having family and fiance's family here.

Lot to play out with the likes of Houston and Lukosius deciding what they want to do and how much cap room that frees or takes up at Port.

I would absolutely love to see him join the Crows but can't blame him for not jumping the gun until all cards are on the table.
