2017 gets even better when you realise that was the draft meant to be the basis for our list, and we also added from it:

Stephenson: pick 6
Bonar: pick 11
CCJ: pick 19

So while whoever recruited for 2017 was bad, we doubled down on it from 2020 onwards by bringing in players from that draft.

😬
I went to post about the Stephenson trade and had a deeper look at Melbourne's trading.

I mean I knew they were next level already but far out they were like Neo in the Matrix.

Preuss for #31. After getting him and a pick from us for Dom Tyson.

Trading out their F1 (where they won the flag) for #18, #19.

Fleecing us with 2x R2s for Ben Brown + R2. Valuing a top 2 Coleman player 12 months earlier at a pick ~30. Imagine what WE would pay for a Ben Brown?!

They should be disgusted with their lack of further success because their list managers were spinning the decks like nobodies business.

Can’t read the article is the key forward top of Melbournes wish list?
Cause I can’t see Carlton selling the farm to get another big body 30 year old, although this could see the return of crazy vossy, good times
Petracca would win Carlton the 2025 premiership imo. Perfectly complements what they have.

Very much doubt McKay would be willing to go to Melbourne though.

Probably part of the reason McDonald might get pushed to retirement.

If he's been virtually paid out 90% of his contract anyway, it wont be hard to find a settlement figure.
Please retire this train wreck....

Please....

He is getting a game and doesnt deserve it.

What does that tell the rest of the young playing group.

I feel on our death beds we will still be arguing this one.

(this assumes something terrible befalls the Chaddy food court one mild Sunday lunchtime).

Stop it tmb, I was too scared to look further back lol.

But it is the problem, nothing ever happenings, nothing happens at all. You could even say the bloody needle returns to the start of the song and we continue singing as before.

Is Jarrod Berry too young for consideration here ? only about 26y/o, no premierships, and not noted for his pace, but seems to be a solid type citizen to me as a defensive mid

In the sprit of trades that’ll never happen;
Melb trades Trac gets T.Lynch Richmond,
Richmond gives up Lynch gains pick 2,
Nmfc gives up pick 2 gets Trac.

I think Marty Hore will solve our KPD problem.
