I'd be super wary of any small forwards that clubs are happy to let go.

The best teams this season have had at least 1-3x dangerous smalls that provide pressure inside 50 and work up the ground.

The only teams that probably aren't looking for this kind of player are Hawthorn and Geelong.

If Carlton, WB and GC are willing to let their small forwards test the market, you can guarantee they have some considerable deficiencies.

Pies don’t want Joe Richards to go but he’s out of contract

He’s the best one available imo

This small forward fad will be worked out by coaches over the summer break and strategies implemented to make it redundant.

I can't see how having a crumbing forward, and enough speed and pressure in the forward line to lock the ball in a team's forward half, can go out of 'fashion'.

The only way the opposition can negate small forwards is to mark the ball. Sadly, this seems to be part of our DNA.

I’ve got the antidote. This is the future of premiership forward lines:

F: Maley, Larkey, Sellers
HF: CCJ, Comben, Teakle

How ya going to defend that? stern look

Not a fad. Richmond had about 6 of them over their dynasty run, and that began in 2017, 7 years ago.
Yeah, and don't forget Laughable Luffy pointed that out and why we didn't need to draft any KPP after BBB left. For that matter didn't draft any small forwards either.....Jack Mahoney and Pheonix Spicer were never small forwards at junior level.

Great flexibility! ;)
