I get it rains a bit in Sydney early Jan but is it really that bad?
Looking at the forecast, Brisbane is the real chance of a wash out.

On another note, how much has really changed from last test to this test in terms of dropping players?

Labuschagne was severely out of sorts and did well for his 64. He did and still has issues, but yeah safe again.
Not much else has changed. Ussie, Smith and Marsh should all be on edge still. No one was dropping McSweeney after 1 test.
No one else was close to being dropped.

Fair enough, woosh, over my head, been a long day of travel from the Riverina

lol, easy to miss mate: most people that actually watched the show didn’t get half of it to begin with haha.

And I hear ya: I drove 3 hours to watch a 5th grade baseball game and then turned around and went home.

I only really remember them rubbing old mate about being in the TA’s.

That’s rough, at least I was heading in a mostly straight line apart from a stop in Avenel.

I tend to agree the Indians were not attacking the stump line enough, not bowling full enough etc. as Ponting was highlighting in the commentary, still a very good effort to get through from Marnus and McSweeney.
Also the pitch was bouncier than usual, and the surface was a bit weird. like a pinstripe in appearance. Looked un-AO-like IYKWIM.

I think the Indian bowlers just couldn’t quite get their line and length right, and weirdly I think the Canberra warm up hindered rather than helped. Morkel met that they thought hitting back of length was what they were going for, where as the Australians bowled quite full.

Pink ball tests are just a completely different game and I’m not sure I like it.

They are just too heavily influenced the conditions

Agree a bit with this, the night cricket part means both teams simply are not playing in the same conditions.

I will say though I prefer it to the traditional Adelaide batathon where declarations were required to try and get a result.

But no doubt day/night tests are not a fair match.

If Travis has a decent knock in Brisbane he probably wins man of the series regardless of what happens in Melbourne and Sydney.

Bumrah could easily get it. Head will go ultra close though

both bum ass teams can't last more than 3 days. what a joke.

Was pretty much expected

2 very poor (at best) batting lineups, and two elite bowling lineups. Bowlers were always going to have a field day this series. It’s just which batting lineup is less bad and gets more out of their few batsmen in form and there are only a couple on each side
