DN New Years Test in Sydney? Watching it rain under lights would be a great prime time spectacle.

Makes sense with the Pink Ball test under lights with the pink ball. Won’t happen as SCG members have a massive say there though. Test can’t be before Xmas though doesn’t work as the finalising for the Jane McGrath foundation is an important factor. More people are able to do that post Xmas not before

Remind me, why was the 1st test of the seasons status snatched from the Gabba again?

Cricket Australia sells the timeslots to states, and WA paid up big to get the first test, at a consistent time of the year (and to ensure we kept the test).

Dreaming it only takes half an hour it took that time for the earlier one, it’s at least an hour more like 75 mins the ground was soaked the run ups need sun to dry them it’s dangerous bowling otherwise
