The only 5 days it will rain in Brisbane are the 5 days of the testForecast is grim at the moment.
Real shame this wasn't starting today.

They've all got way too big of egos to sit out one of Boxing day/Pink test.I certainly wouldn’t hope for an injury, but a rotation may be required, especially with Hoffa durability and Starcs habit of fade outs later in series.
Cummins’s comment today suggest otherwise. They've all got way too big of egos to sit out one of Boxing day/Pink test.
You must be watching different stuff to me - its been raining fairly regularly for the last 6 weeksThe only 5 days it will rain in Brisbane are the 5 days of the test
What did he say that gave you that impression? Sounds like he gave a generic 'he might get play again" answerCummins’s comment today suggest otherwise.
Nothing wrong with the bowling for the need to add another.....Lyon bowled very little so far and the last test was 2 and a bit days..Nah play Lyon too. We should play to our strengths and batting aint it. So go the full attack with 5 bowlers, 5 bats and Carey. Dunno, i just really rate our bowlers and have more faith in them to win us the game than our batsman.
Really is a closed shop.
The obsession with an all rounder is what keeps him out of the side.
Wish the selectors had the balls to play 4 quicks. We could've blown them outta the park, and instead now i think we'll lose
That he’d be surprised if he didn’t play again this series. I’ll take his comments at face value. What did he say that gave you that impression? Sounds like he gave a generic 'he might get play again" answer

My thoughts too Luke, that or a Hazlewood niggle would be fairly short odds I’d reckon. Will not shock me if Starc rests in Melbourne short turnaround to SL and he’ll be one of the two quicks we play there
Don’t think Neser plays unless Starc doesn’t anyway and he hasn’t missed a test so far anywayMy thoughts too Luke, that or a Hazlewood niggle would be fairly short odds I’d reckon.
It’s a shame for Boland, but I won’t be surprised if we see him again. Massive shame about Neser.
Quite possibly the most ridiculous comment on these boards.Wish the selectors had the balls to play 4 quicks. We could've blown them outta the park, and instead now i think we'll lose

Nope you need a spinnerWith the forecasted rain and overcast conditions, surely Webster comes in for Lyon....as how many overs is Lyon going to be realistically called on to bowl? Strengthen the batting with Webster coming in at 7 or 8
If Starc misses anywhere, it should be Sydney. He averages 44 there and has never taken more than 3 in an innings. Will not shock me if Starc rests in Melbourne short turnaround to SL and he’ll be one of the two quicks we play there
Why exactly? Bar individual efforts our batting has been embarrassing for a long time now. So why the f*** waste spots with idiots who can't get the job done when we can run through the opposition with what is quite possibly the best bowling lineup we've ever had.Quite possibly the most ridiculous comment on these boards.
I normally side with Victorians on most things when it comes to Sport, but they just don't know cricket. Before the Adelaide test everyone was crying about how thin our batting line-up is, and all of a sudden people want to drop our leading run scorer for the last 12 months and reigning AB Medallist for an extra pace bowler?
If anyone deserves a bit of extra leeway before they get dropped, it's Smith.I'm still waiting for them to finally drop Smith, he's awful.
Sure, he may have one of the better careers we've seen, but eventually you just need to pull the plug, he's not up to standard anymore. If anyone deserves a bit of extra leeway before they get dropped, it's Smith.
He's a once in a generation player and has been the unrivalled best test batter in the world for nearly 10 years.
I agree he looks shit at the moment, but I'd like to give him the rest of the summer before we pull the pin on our best cricketer since Ponting.
I think it is more because they are better off having one of the best spinners in the world to play alongside 3 of the best quicks in the world.Because they prefer to have Marsh at 6, instead of four fast bowlers on a pacey Gabba wicket. One of which averages about 14 in this country.
