this happens as soon as they start banging on about the declaration every single time.
I wonder if that is true, or just how it seems. I can't be arsed trying to run numbers over it, too difficult for my mind and care factor.
But running the numbers may be part of the problem. Getting ahead of the game, worried about when to declare, rather than just ****ing bat for a while, see how the innings unfolds, and start worrying about declaration targets down the track.

Its something for media and us to talk about. But maybe the coaching staff and data guys should shut about it for a few hours most of the time (assuming they aren't already).

I'm so glad we got rid of a hard arse coach in Langer for this soft, pat them on the head, everything will be ok little buddy type bullshit coach. Can't remember a bigger bunch of soft cracks playing for the Australian squad in my lifetime.

I was waiting for a Langer post, thank you. He's not a hardarse btw, he's a genuine moron.

Drop Starc for Richardson and bring in a batsmen at 6.
Webster's form with the bat is as good as any so you'd be stupid to pick someone else. Can also bowl some spin and ripper first slip as well

Im not saying it’s the most prestigious, I’m saying heated. I don’t believe - despite Bairstow-Gate - the level of hatred and dislike is there between the sides that there is between these two. The Ashes is and always will be The Ashes. But Australia has for large periods owned it and most of these players have grown up with Australia dominating England when they come over here and all these hard fought but good natured series, the Flintoff-Lee photo or whatever.
Yeah I still think that's more a narrative you're running with rather than reality

i dont think there's anything in it and purely is coincidence, like a commentators curse. but i also wouldnt be surprised if it gets into our heads whenever we have a decent first innings lead

We’ve made Bumrah look good by not batting properly and missing straight ones. We should be embarrassed
Any threat of one of them getting forwards.

The ball is hitting the top of stumps, not their ****ing badge.

Where is that fool that's been banging on about this road of a pitch?

I'd still argue its a good batting pitch - but Bumrah is having one of the greatest series by a single bowler, I think I've ever witnessed.

I've never seen a single bowler have such a skewed, dominating influence, AWAY from home mind you as well.

Bumrah bowling here, makes Cummins, Starc and Boland look like the touring players.
