His book is/was a great read!
I'm reading Barbed Wire and Cucumber Sandwiches about the aborted 1970 South African tour of England and the Rest of the World series that replaced it which I'd heartily recommend.

It’s either gonna be a draw or India win. I don’t think we have the ability to bowl them out on this deck
I will be stunned if we don’t win - the pitch will be hard to bat on as it goes and hard to force the game

I've been a fan for a long time but his time has passed. It feels like the other commentators are indulging him now.
That's a very general, non-specific observation though, what is exactly wrong with his commentary? As I said, it sounded okay to me. (I've listened to him for a long time too).

think we'll find out later tonight mitchell starc has a side stain and wasn't 100 per cent which is why we batted on, just makes playing marsh with a bad back worst

I feel like he's gotten a bit older and says a bit more random shit, he's not quite as switched on as he used to be from what I've heard.

And there is the issue. Players will always want to play even if injured. Dont want to give others a chance, especially with the WTC coming up

I flick around a bit so don't listen full time to him .

He seems to lose his spot and go off on tangents.
I know he had stroke so dare say it's part of that .
He was very average when England toured here last so thats when I started listening less to him .

He may have improved a bit on that

Surely India going for the win here, they win today they win the series, our bowling attack isn't too deep either with Marsh not producing and question mark over Starc. We might get an uplift in Sydney by debuting a quick or Beau Webster (or both) and Sydney might rain anyway.
Yep, I agree.

Australia have a history of losing tight matches on a fifth day pitch.

Let's hope Cummins has a plan B if the predictable top of off stump and ultra aggressive fields fail lmao

Expecting big things from Mitch Starc today. He has declared himself fit. Every bowler will have some type of niggle this late in the test series.
