Geez Starc is as tough as nails.
You can see hes injured but still steaming in.

Starcy's PR department is working overtime today to try and hide the scent of his first innings pies.

You'd think the bloke was single-handedly storming the beaches on Normandy with one leg, not producing match figures at this point of 1-110.

Maybe let's hold off building him a statue because of his little ouchies unless he can contribute to us winning.

Anybody feel Cummins' non-declaration when the lead passed 300 was a huge blunder?
With how easy batting looks? **** no. Series would be over.

There's nothing in the wicket. We needed to get into a position to either draw or win, and that's what we did.

Unfortunately since then we've mostly tried to bowl defensive crap to force the draw

No. Have you watched any cricket today? If anything it was the right thing to do.

Yeah we haven’t bowled great. But if you don’t get seven or so in the first thirty five overs on this pitch, you’re basically waiting for a mistake after that.

Gutless by both teams TBH

  • Cummins could have easily declared last night and have a crack at the openers for 10 overs.
  • India batted like they wanted a draw from the first ball of today.
If they were chasing 280 there's a fair chance that they'd have been 0/40 at stumps. Easy day today.

Yeah struggling on a slow low wicket

Lyon average again

It’s an issue we can’t bowl teams out on the last day . If this is a draw we need to do something different Indians comfortable against our bowling unit

We need to roll the dice next test to get the 20 poles marsh will go and everyone says Webster I say stuff that be bold and bring in a genuine bowler we need wickets bring in jhye Carey to bat six

Unless he drops his pace - he’s got no hope

Bowling darts on this is not the way to go now
The first couple of overs looked good, then he started coming over the ball again.

The pace is good, but he just doesn’t trust himself to side spin the ball and maintain accuracy.

I’d be giving Marn or Smith leggies a go. 2 or 3, there’s some rough from each end to work with.

Surely he hasn’t told Marny to bowl medium pace tripe. Please tell me I’m wrong. And then why not then, “No Marny, leggies please”

Pat appears way more interested in not losing than winning.

Which really goes against the grain with me at least, and I doubt I’m alone.

Nope, if it went in a linear direction, they would be chasing 140 in the final session with 7 wickets in hand, as it is they are chasing 90 more.
Would have loved to win, but Cummins first job is to not lose this test.
Do that and the BGT is gone. 1-1 and still a chance in Sydney to win it.
It has been the same all test. After 35 overs the ball is lifeless. Last 4 wickets for Aust put on 140 runs.
Nothing in the pitch or the ball. Draw would be at 70% at the moment.

Our batting's too shit for that sadly.
