Yes his elbow allows him to bend his arm back past straight the problem with it is that he can hold it straight and does so until just before delivery before allowing it to flex right back and then pulls it through to finish straight on release. It's not any different to you or I starting with a bent arm, straightening it mid delivery and then finishing with a bent arm.

He does not throw the ball. He is however genetically blessed and also stupidly skillful. His elbow doesn’t move the ball both ways or hit the same spot all day every day

I know it was the wicket that started the downfall but I didn't think the Pant shot was that awful. It was a longhop that deserved to be smashed. Someone like Pant needs to probably see the ball going to the boundary occasionally so he can keep his focus.
