Exactly, which is why we need to go for the win tomorrow.

We do. Which us why I would have asked Lyon and boland to go harder and had 6 overs at them tonight.

The monopoly we allow Ticketek to retain over major sporting venues is outrageous. How is it that their site goes to hell and puts you in a queue literally anytime anything goes on sale?!

One of the benefits of giving them less overs to get more runs is that you can bowl and set fields tomorrow with a more aggressive mentality.

If India had a day to get 280 we’d need to consider how to conserve runs while taking wickets.
If we set a target of 350 we can keep the fielders up in more catching positions even after they hit a few boundaries

100 %. If India's coaches are smart they will know about the Sydney rain thing which means they will tell their guys to play for a draw tomorrow unless we offer them a lower total to chase and throw the Carrot out.

If India are playing for the draw, we'll have the game wrapped up by tea.

They're like us. When they're not scoring, they're walking wickets - no matter for intent.

Mitch Marsh’s batting is like a Windows update—slow, painful, and everyone wishes they could skip it

His batting is like a slowly infecting virus from a spear phishing email likely sent by R and G Marsh

The run rate needed is already more than they managed in the 1st innings & the pitch is harder to score on now.

Innings run rates.
Australia 1st - 3.86
Indian 1st - 3.08
Australia 2nd - 2.78

Depends on how they structure the batting order. Kohli and Jaiswal in particular struggle when they go into their shells but ravi thrives on it he can just block for hours.

It was 8-101 when they came together, you were right they put on 83. Then both got out. Massie scored 42 and Watkins 36.

Pakistan's target was pushed up to around 150, Walker then took 6-15 and Lillee (with a completely stuffed back) took 3 to bowl Australia to a famous win. I remember Ross Edwards taking an amazing catch at cover to dismiss Sadiq (Massie's final Test wicket).

Watkins was a leggie from Newcastle, he had played only a handful of f-c matches when he was selected. You are right, he bowled half a dozen or so overs of rubbish, poor bloke's nerves obviously got to him.

Problem was, the team to the WI had already been selected prior to this match so Watkins went. Neither he or Massie played a Test on that 73 WI tour, and both faded into obscurity. So their famous partnership occurred in each of their last Tests.

They stupidly took Lillee to the WI too, back problems and all, he promptly went for gazillion in the first Test, unsurprisingly broke down mid-Test and didn't play Test cricket for 18 months as a result.

I read one of Lillee's books, he said his back problems started on the 1972 Ashes tour which he still managed to push through.

The 1973 tour to the Windies literally broke his back. he ended up in a cast before he recovered for the 74/75 Ashes test series.

He was a tough guy, I went to the same gym as him in the 90s and he could still give me a run for my money on a stairmaster.

That's some nice grains there.

Between you and I, I don't think that'd be conducive to seeing more runs from the three of them.
Fresh, as opposed to rotten, fruit a better option perhaps?

Needs a new grip but apart from that it is still a weapon. Middle and sweet spot is huge with this thing. Best bat i have ever owned. Even though others in my club considered it heavy i just swung the campaigner!! Any contact it was flying.
