Went down to the G today. Can I just say the Indian supporters around us were the most disrespectful cricket fans I’ve ever sat next to. They’re also all totally bonkers.
They are very intense, but a lot of it is cultural differences between our countries.

They would have found Konstas batting against Bumrah like that as being disrespectful to their champion player .
Cummins gets belted and we react with that's just good batting or we go at Cummins to bowl better, probably the latter.

They pretty much view their players as gods and quite frankly a few of their players act like it .
I insulted one of my teamates when I suggested that Tendulkar was slowing up and should retire. He didn't talk to me for weeks and it took one of the other sub continent guys to play peacemaker . I literally had no idea what he was mad about . Made batting with him tough work .

But that's what it's like, it's 1000% up on our most fanatical cricket supporters imo.

True but that's why they should have dropped Marsh for Webster so we had better bats and 5 bowlers tomorrow.
The bumrah point is valid but it becomes moot if it rains for half the Sydney test.

Me I would have tried to get to a 300 lead as quickly as possible (no boland go slow) and immediately declared and had 5-10 overs at them tonight. I think it's better to go for the kill now and not wait for Sydney. But I accept there's differing opinions on that.
If we had a fit and firing Starc we may well have done that, but with Boland and Cummins having to do the majority of the wicket taking at this stage I think they have been more conservative. Also, if Bumrah is injured, India are done.

Surely Marsh gets the arse for Sydney? JL was going in to bat for him pretty hard so hopefully that tips Cumdog over the edge and he lets the selectors know what to do.

I really hope we can manufacture a win tonorrow but I will readily admit India have shown their class yesterday and today. Really high quality test cricket, which should be enjoyed, whatever your stripe.
Hurts to say as a Marsh fan, he is done.

Also on Bumrah watch, 140.3 overs in four matches and 230 overs since Sept 19. Could be looking at 180-ish come the time we finish this series and 270 since Sept 22. Cummins and Starc aren't far behind with 118 and 115 respectively, but had time off.

We'll see if the idea to grind him into the ground pays off in Sydney regardless what happens here.

Comes off a short run though. Doesn't need a long one because he gets most of his pace from his arms and back.

Yep thats right. Same applies to some Aussie cricket fans too. Like I said, all cricket nations have good fans and bad fans.
Nope. India is on a level all of its own. Combo of getting away with whatever they can whilst furiously claiming moral high ground. I detest them. More so than the Poms. It’s a product of their culture.

So, bumrah is definitely a chucker. Look at his arm. It's actually straight when he gets to the pitch, and only "hyperextends" when he gets into the bowling motion

I suggest you read the Laws of Cricket in regards to throwing. However you then need to read the I.C.C playing conditions where straightening (by a certain amount) is allowed.

Rain predicted for the Sydney test. May not have the opportunity.

Think that Sydney and Manchester are the two grounds in the world where the most days have been lost to rain in Test Cricket. So not unusual for it to happen again.

Mitch Marsh’s batting is like a Windows update—slow, painful, and everyone wishes they could skip it

You can skip it. After the fall of the 4th wicket, just turn off for 10 minutes and then come back to find him back in the pavilion out.

We have had 45 tests of this utter potato just let that sink in! Honestly he’s Merlo with a half competent performance every 10 games to make people think he’s better than below average

Possibly it depends on how aggressively jaiswal and pant play (the former in particular) they are the 2 that can bat quick enough to chase it down.

But the draw would be my favourite here. I'm not sure Australia will have enough time to bowl them out and I'm not sure India are willing to risk losing to try and win it after tea tomorrow.

India win and they retain the G/B Trophy, they lose this Test and they can still retain it.

It's not enough for me to care to complain to the ICC, but Bumrah legit chucks it IMO.
Thought so first time I saw him bowl.

Laws of Cricket says he throws it......BUT.....I.C.C playing conditions allow for a certain amount of learway for degrees in terms of arm straightening. This provision was implemented when the issues for Murali cropped up.

As a former umpire....there's nothing the umpires can do. They'd be told not to no-ball any bowler for chucking. We already saw what happened with Darryl Hair in 1995 and Ross Emerson in 1999. Opened a can of worms.

Anyway it is what it is. When I umpired we were instructed not to no ball any bowler for chucking and simply report it in the umpires match report and the competition/association would take it from there.

Bloody hell, I don't want to hear that the public area tomorrow is already 50% sold!

I only live 20 minutes away on the train, and I have a bad back that won't last the whole day - I was going to stay home til it got interesting/til the lunch break.

Didn't expect I'd be walking up to level 4 for a seat if I do that :(

They are the worst supporters in the world just look at twitter.
I went to the 2005 Ashes in England and the poms were brilliant great banter and then a pint afterwards always felt safe. Pakistan supporters are also brilliant love cricket but always respectful and welcoming the complete opposite to the Indians. I rather go to Pakistan to watch a game than India.
Because aus lose against india
