This is where giving lip instead of applying yourself looks bad.
I'm old school. I thought giving it to the opposition was to score plenty of runs and occupy the crease. Now it seems you can gob off from the non-strikers end, hit a couple of ramps and apparently you're living "rent-free" in the opposition's head.

Never seen a team that shiets their pants as much as this one.
Perth - Bowl them out for 150 and then collapse with the bat and be toothless with the bowl
Brisbane - Can't bowl out tail to enforce follow on
Melbourne - Almost another choke if not for self destruction from India and some contentious umpiring
and now Sydney.

It is quite funny that after the last Test there were plenty on here whinging about the entitlement of Indian players and fans for complaining about legitimate dismissals, yet our fans are doing the exact same now.

It could just be that Indian fans, much like our own, don't like losing.

In danger of sounding like England.. They haven’t deserved to be this close in the series. We have our issues for sure but have been the best team by far after Perth and it has basically been 11 v 1. Positives are that maybe it brings change? But we love a late series fade after dominating most of it
Moral Victory !!! 🏆

Who said 5th day? This pitch isn't going to be better to bat on on day 4
Well, you usually need a lead of that much when chasing down on day 5 pitch. Likely result will be half way through day 4 so it will flatten out by then as that's what usually happen. Need to make use of the pitch which is still doing something until flatten out.

Hahaha sure mate. The 3rd umpire was correct with both decisions.

Who wins from here? I’ll go with Australia to bowl India out on day 3 and Australia’s batsmen to get the job done on a wicket better for batting than day 1.
I'd have my money on that, especially if Bumrah doesn't return.

Up to the bowlers now to keep the target manageable

It's more the opposition reactions, not the shots and gob offs. India reacted like it got to them.

Today, not much when Konstas went out so seems they leant and focussed better.

Bumrah got it right batting. If a pitch is going to do this all Test chasing under pressure on it is really tough.

Only bowl first if it is going to be like this on the first day then flatten out.

Bumrah got the call right but his batsmen need to stand up now and he's going to need to bowl well himself in the 4th innings (injury or not).

Not a normal pitch though either it's flattening out and India will bat for more than a day, or it's still deadly and is only gonna get worse by day 4

I can see a scenario where Green just concentrates on batting and does little or no bowling.

I know Green has had back surgery which is what's currently keeping him out - but has he had a history of back issues?

If so, concentrating on his batting could be the way to prolong his career

Green to 3, Marnus out to pasture.
Nope smudge to three for me green four come the ashes

green will walk straight back into this team prior to his injury he scored 170 not out against the kiwis to win us the test

Green has always been a top order bat who averages over 50 in the shield batting in the top four

Webster looks a natural six

Insipid batting performance (bar Webster, great work from him).

We had so much go in our favour with Bumrah going down and their other bowlers didn’t even bowl that well. Yes the pitch is spicy but most of our dismissals were from terrible decisions and/or lapses in concentration.

Need to be switched on in this bowling innings or the Trophy will stay with India for several more years.

Jokes on India, they've been handling the storage and upkeep for the trophy 'rent free' for 12 years now.

Perhaps a slight improvement before the normal degradation comes? I think it’s still gonna be difficult to bat though in this final session.
