Head doesn’t do 30-40We’ll probably be only chasing 200 odd.
If our top 6 can scratch 30s-40s we should romp it in.
Wicket was tricky, but there’s been some bog awful shot dismissals.
60+ it is seeing first innings was lessHead doesn’t do 30-40
He goes < 10 or > 60
How soon we forget he was suspended for a year for cheating as an Australian captain.Completely disappear when he starts scoring tons again and then reappear when he makes an error. Checks out.
The way the ball is jagging around and bouncing is going to make any chase very difficult. It’s not as if our batsmen are technically equipped to graft it out on such a pitch either.Yeah we're already at a chase target past "comfortable", especially on this pitch. It will be a nightmare either way unless Head takes over.
Still, keep it to 220 or less and we're well in the game (can quote this when we collapse all out for 75).
If he makes <10 in the first he makes <10 in the second.60+ it is seeing first innings was less
Yeah I didn’t see the score before writing that… thought it was around 120So we are going to take 4/5 runs pretty sure that’s not going to happen
He's been a very good fast bowler for Australia over a long period. Bowled well in Melbourne.Hey Starc fanboys, you still going on your early crow victory lap after all he could manage was 4 overs of shite today?
That's the thing about test cricket - it has two innings. And you need to take 20 wickets to win. Snagging a couple of wickets and getting a slogging tailender out while still slinging some pies in the first innings is nice and all, but if you're not fully fit you shouldn't be playing for this very reason.
He may even knock over a few tailenders tomorrow like he often does when he bowls rubbish to the top order, but it doesn't change the fact he was a liability today against the actual batting order when India could have taken the game away from us.
If it hasn't cost us the game, it's only because Boland strapped Starc's carcass to his back and dragged him across the line.
What's embarrassing is not you random Bigfooty numpties backing in your hero even when it's clear to Blind Freddie that he shouldn't have been picked, it's that the selectors are no better than you.
Imagine being in the trenches with Aristotle. He’d be just as likely to shoot you in the back and knock off your boots.Completely disappear when he starts scoring tons again and then reappear when he makes an error. Checks out.
Completely forgotten. How soon we forget he was suspended for a year for cheating as an Australian captain.
Headys not that clever. Don’t tell him and he won’t knowIf he makes <10 in the first he makes <10 in the second.
Ponting was on the money when he said Australia had a decent chance at chasing 200 without Bumrah and 150 with him bowling. They did do well without him when he was gone today, but doing it from start to finish would still be tough.
Anything above 200 on this pitch is going to be difficult even without Bumrah.

For a crime the country’s true to your heart have had a slap on the wrist over. Literally. A year out is in another galaxy of punishment because we aren’t corrupt, morally bankrupt arse colonies like India, Pakistan etc. They did their time and then someHow soon we forget he was suspended for a year for cheating as an Australian captain.
Only 2 days into the test match and India have already lost 16 wickets - I don't think they're in a strong position aside from the fact that it's very hard to see which (if any) aussie batsman will grab the game.
I reckon the ramp will still come out to ease the pressure if it builds and to disrupt the field maybe. A more traditional approach on the whole might be better though now he has them thinking anything goes when he’s facing up. He’s got some shots in the arsenalThe one that interests me most tomorrow is Konstas.
Granted we’re in the shock & awe phase of his start to test cricket, but a reasonable total to chase, see how he handles the blowtorch, could be the makings of him.

Sometimes guys just can’t do it any other way.
I’d give Konstas a chance of curbing his enthusiasm, Pant not so.
IMO the good outweighs the bad with Pant, but to concede your point he doesn’t have to go as randomly batshit as he does. He’s proven he actually does have a decent defence.
Give it a rest broHow soon we forget he was suspended for a year for cheating as an Australian captain.
